I am a recent graduate of a local Nursing Program, soon to take my boards exam for licensure. I love to be in the kitchen, unless it's cleaning! I'd rather bake than cook but I've recently been experimenting with new recipes and having a lot of fun with it. I will be getting married soon, live with my fiance and our two beautiful canine babies. I love to bake...cookies, cakes, brownies...anything sweet or chocolate is my favorite! Growing up I was always in the kitchen with my mom "helping" her out. I love to make cooking a family affair, just another thing we can do together. As mentioned, I've recently been experimenting with new recipes I have found. I watch a lot of Food Network so that has inspired me to make changes in recipes and put my own twist on things...I'm VERY proud of myself! I'd have to say, though, that one of my best is Kahlua Cake. Everyone loves it and that makes me happy! When I first started cooking, I tried my hand at a traditional Filipino recipe, Chicken Adobo. Well, I put the lid on the pot to keep the food warm, forgetting to turn the heat off the stove. By the time I went to check on it, the liquid had boiled all the way down to nearly nothing! My mom somehow managed to salvage the chicken and I learned that condensation will NOT save a dish from dehydrating!
