Pork Supreme

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
I had a good amount of leftover pork tenderloin that I wanted to use up and this recipe was just the ticket. I usually make barbeque, but this is a much better recipe. The pork was very tender and the sauce was wonderful. I served it over rice and added a side vegetable and it was a quick dinner.

Eggnog Gingerbread Trifle

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
This was good but the eggnog was a little overpowering. I think next time I make it I will use half eggnog and half milk for the pudding.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
Very good. Made it with chicken and it was just the right side salad. I also decreased the sugar to 1/4 cup and used balsamic vinegar. Will definitely be making this again.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
This is an awesome oatmeal cookie! The only adjustment I made was that instead of using raisins, I used dark chocolate covered raisins. How can you go wrong by adding chocolate! This is definitely a keeper!

Campbell's Kitchen Broccoli and Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
Very good side dish. I used fresh broccoli instead of frozen. Made it along side of a chicken dish. Perfect combination.

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2012
Very good cakes. I fried them but I think next time I may bake them as recommended by another reviewer. I also really squeezed the water out but probably could have done it even more since the inside was very soft even though the outside was crisp. Will definitely make these again.

Easiest Applesauce Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
Oh my goodness. This is the best applesauce cake ever. It is so moist it melts in your mouth. As the others have said, it only makes 2 not 3. You better hide the second one because it would be really easy to eat that one right away too. Awesome!

Balsamic Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2011
Very good recipe. I modified it slightly in that I had chicken baking in a 350 degree oven. So instead of quartering the potatoes, I sliced them so that they would cook faster. I still cooked them in the oil on the stove for 3 minutes and then I cooked them along side the chicken for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees and then took out the chicken and cooked them about 10 minutes more in a 400 degree oven. My husband and son really enjoyed them.

Fresh Pear Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
I had some pears that the skins were a little bruised that I wanted to use up. This was the perfect recipe. I didn't use the lemon zest, but it was fine without it. I also used butter in place of the margarine, which worked really well also. Will defintely make this again.

Chef John's Classic Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
Very good stroganoff. The only problem that I had was that it wasn't as thick as I would have liked it. Even added a little more flour. It didn't effect the taste and will still make it again.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
Let me start by saying that my husband really doesn't like the way I make pork chops. After making this recipe, he said that they were the best pork chops I've made in 30 years! I had 4 boneless pork chops that I used for the recipe. I also doubled the sauce ingredients as suggested by others. I only cooked them for 45 minutes and then let them rest. They were cooked perfect. This recipe is a keeper.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
Awesome recipe! The steak was very tender. The only change I made was that I didn't have any stewed tomatoes (not one of my favorites) so I added an 8oz. can of tomato sauce and it worked just as well. Will definitely make again.

Throw-Together Short Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
These ribs were wonderful. By putting them in the crockpot, they were fork-tender. I also doubled the sauce ingredients because I like to pour it over the noodles. When I make them the next time I will decrease the bouillon since it had a little more salt than I like.

Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
Made this bread for a church function. So glad it made 2 loaves because we got to eat one and the other one went to the function. It was very good, but I also lowered the cloves to a teaspoon and it still had enough flavor. My loaves also sank a little in the middle, but it did not spoil the wonderful taste. Will definitely make again.

Cheesy Vegetable Medley

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
I modified this recipe since I didn't have Velveeta, I increased the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. I think I may have put a little too much elbow macaroni since when this came out of the oven it seemed a little dry. Will be careful with this when I make it the next time.

Peach Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
This peach bread is very good. I made it with fresh peaches as well. Only disappointment was that it didn't raise as high as I would have liked, but that didn't effect the taste. Will definitely make again.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
Made these cookies today. A little disappointed. Didn't have a lot of flavor. Put mini M&M's on them to give them a little color. Maybe next time I will roll them in colored sugar for a little more flavor. Also, others had remarked about them not staying together, but I used my cookie scoop which I think helped.

Lemon Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
This chicken was very good. My family really liked it. The only change I made was I used 8 chicken thighs instead of 6 because there is definitely enough sauce and crumbs. I also am not sure that you need the 6 tablespoons of butter. I think next time I will use less. I sprayed the pan with cooking spray so it wouldn't stick so will cut back on the butter next time. Definitely a keeper.
