About this Cook
My name is Christine. I love to cook and think that I do a good job in the kitchen. Lately I have been trying to be a little more adventerous in the kitchen. I need to cook low sodium now and strive to find recipes that fit into that profile. I also love to eat and try new recipes. I'm glad that my friend told me about this site.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Italian and Mexican. Chinese food is a favorite around my house, but I'm not that good yet. Party type foods and things that are easy to put together are high on my list.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday dinners. My grandmother taught me that a great meal starts with a family get together. It was important to her that we all get together once or twice for a wonderful meal.
My cooking triumphs
I made an eggroll recipe up by myself. I went over really well. That and I have made fried rice once eatible. (My family was tired of the "Goo Rice")
My cooking tragedies
A curried chicken salad that I enjoyed at my Mom's house. I made it for the hubby and I still here about how I'm not ever supposed to make it again. I never have.

Double Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes
Taste was good, but SOOOO soupy! Next time I will cut down on the liquid. Even Velveeta added in didn't help.
