Hot Fudge Sauce
About this Cook
I am married to a great man and have a beautiful daughter and another child on the way. My family is the most important thing in the world to me. I love to gather around family and enjoy good food and conversation.
My favorite things to cook
Pies!! I love pie!! And soup, especially cheesy cream of potato soup with ham. I also love to grill out as much as possible!! We often grill our entire meal, from the meat to the veggies!! Sweet potatoes sure are yummy on the gril!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Any kind of holiday cooking!!
My cooking triumphs
I make one heck of a roasted turkey and also have a yummy black bean and corn salsa recipe that my husbands absolutely loves!
My cooking tragedies
Not too many. Athough I did mess up making kool aid once! I did not grow up with it as a child because my mother said it was nothing but pure sugar! So when I was dating my husband in college, he asked me to make some kool aid for him and his friends since they were working outside. I got a packet of kool aid and added enough water and stirred it, never really reading the directions. Well I guess you're supposed to add the sugar yourself, because those guys made some sour faces!!

Basic Flaky Pie Crust
In place of the shortening, I use real butter. It makes a huge difference and really tastes a whle lot better!!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches
I used a 16oz can of BEER instead of beef broth....it was awesome. I used Cattlemans Smokehouse BBQ sauce..the best! My husband said it was the best BBQ pulled pork he'd ever had!!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs
Very good!! I didn't have bread crumbs, so I just used croutons that I crushed up. I used Garlic Herb ones and didn't add anything else besides the egg. Worked out great!!
