Sweet and Sour Drumettes

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2013
This had good flavor and I liked the idea of frying the chicken a bit before baking. Next time I would thicken the sauce and brush it on a few times while cooking the chicken in the oven.

Cinnamon Pork Loin and Potatoes

When I make this my children eat a ton! Everyone loves it. They prefer me to leave out the regular potato and just use all sweet.

Linguine with Savory Meat Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
A good solution for days when you don't know what to make. Uses things I normally have in the pantry. Quick and easy. A little bland. Used less carrots than called for.

Fettuccini Alfredo I

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
This is not the richest or creamiest alfredo out there. However, being void of the ingredients that normally contribute to richness (heavy cream and/or cream cheese) this is lower in fat, calories and thus healthier. It is good, not remarkable. Its perfect for when dinner sneaks up on you and you have little time and few ingredients to work with. Its quick and easy to make (my 14 year old son made this and he has very little cooking experience. Basically if you are looking for a fantastic tasting alfredo, this is not it, if you are looking for a quick, satifying, easy meal...give it a try.

Tuna Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
I had a hard time imagining what this would taste like and passed by this recipe a few times when seeking out tuna recipes. Today's very limited pantry supplies made me give it a try. It was good. Nothing special or great but good. It won't find itself in my recipe file but I would make it again when I had few ingredients to do anything else with. It definately hides the tuna taste. My children all ate it without complaints and a couple had second helpings.

Autumn Squash

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
very good. The kids loved it. I did reduce the mustard by quite a bit knowing they would not like it if they could detect it in the recipe.

Melissa's Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
This is a great turkey meatloaf. I made it last week and again this week...and I usually don't repeat recipes that quick. My family loved it. I did substitute ketchup for the tomato soup on top.

Beef Tips

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
My children LOVED this. I did think it was a bit salty, and I used a low sodium gravy mix and soy sauce and had eliminated the salt called for, too. It was a good cold winter day meal and I would make it again, but I will also look for another similar recipe that may be less salty tasting.

i went back and forth on making this because my children hate any kind of mustard. I am very glad I decided to try it. Everyone loved it. Delicious.

i thought this was great. I added some extra veggies and used 5 spice powder as its impossible to find fresh ginger in this area.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
I normally don't really like to make tuna casserole with "cream of" soups but I had no milk in the house tonight so had to resort to the can! I saw some reviews saying this was dry so I added in a 1/3 cup mayo and it was not dry at all. i sauteed the onion in butter and added in some chopped red pepper as well. I turned out very well.

Broccoli Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I was not terribly impressed. It was pretty bland..not much taste. I think it would be much better made with Jiffy cornbread mix as another review used as that would give it more of a sweet taste for some flavor.

Very good. Even my husband, who usually frowns at turkey burgers, said they were good. I would definitely make them again.

Simple Guacamole

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
I usually like cilantro in my Guacamole but didn't have any and had a craving (pregnant!) so I gave this a shot. Its very good! I was surprised since it was so basic with so few ingredients. I'd make it again.

Excellent Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
Yummy. Just what I was looking for. I did add more broccoli as the 5 cups did not look like enough. I steamed it and then put it through the food processor to very finely chop it. I am not a processed cheese fan, but since I happened to have some I used it. It tasted good with it. This makes a super huge pot of soup. My 5 children and I ate it (husband won't go near soup...esp if it has broccoli in it) and its not even 1/2 gone.

Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
This is a great recipe to use when you have very little time and a near empty pantry. Its nothing like my normal "cook all day" ingredient loaded sauce but for a meal in a snap this is really good. My kids love it.
