About this Cook
I am in my twenties and trying to decide what I like to "Do". I get into things all the time, but give up before I develop a skill. All my life I have kept coming back to cooking and I think that I am going to stick with it this time.
My favorite things to cook
sweet breads are fun to bake. working with chicken breast is fun too because it is so versatile and tasty!
My favorite family cooking traditions
not really any traditions....i think i get my flare from my father though
My cooking triumphs
chocolate chip cookies, eggplant Parmesan, new york cheesecake, chicken fingers and sesame chicken.
My cooking tragedies
several apple pies. Which makes me so sad because the first apple pie I ever made was the best one that I have ever eaten. :[

Easy Tuna Patties
I thought these were really great. I used gourmet canned tuna and it still ended up being a very cheap dinner. I kind of just threw them together too, no detailed measuring was used. I added an extra egg to make them stickier for frying, subbed Gorgonzola for Parmesan and used unseasoned bread crumbs so that I had control over the flavor and saltiness. Served with polish cucumber salad (Mizeria) and dipped them in the salad's dressing (Greek yogurt, salt, dill, lemon juice) because they were a little dry. The dressing made them excellent though. Even my man friend, who is a picky water enjoyed this classy dinner!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
Turned out perfectly. My sauce was super thick though, so I kind of just smothered it over the apples before putting on the lattice. I don't have a problem with this, just something I had to deal with. I used 8 smallish Gala apples instead and reduced the white sugar by 2 tbls. Awesome!
