Molasses-Oat Bran Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
i haven't made bread in some time and was excited to give this a go. as i was kneading it, it seemed that i reached the correct consistancy at 2.5 cups flour, rather than 3. however, it seemed VERY dense, although the flavor was tasty. :)

Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
loved it! i was making in smaller portions for the two of us so i used a couple of chopped links for each of us(bought in bulk then portioned and put in freezer). i added a bit of butter to sausage fat to stretch it a bit and a touch of pepper to it as it thickened. i thought it was the perfect breakfast with Nancy Horsburg's Fluffy Biscuit recipe and a fried egg. :o) (I made the gravy once with maple sausage and boyfriend preferred it, though i thought it was odd.)

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
I loved it. She is right-the recipe is very forgiving and easy to adjust to your tastes. I subbed BBQ sauce instead of steak sauce, subbed cheese crackers for the butter rounds, added a cup of bread crumbs, 3 oz of finely diced onion, 1 oz fresh diced banana pepper, and then I topped it with American cheese and tomato juice before I baked it. Everyone here eats at different times so I split it into 3 smaller pans (making it possible to add more onions to the loaf I would later devour with a roomie) and *bonus!* I only had to cook them for 35-40 min to reach the 160 degrees.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
OMG! I love them! I was looking for a festive looking cookie so I baked mine with reese pieces on the top instead of the choco chips. The batter smelled so good while I was baking it that I couldn't resist nibbling it. The oven I am using is a little off kilter so the ones that I didn't bake on a baking stone turned out a little too done on the bottom. That said, this is the first thing that I have baked in this oven that came out so well!
