Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
I used to always make the pancake recipe from my Bettery Crocker cookbook but since I tried these, I keep coming back to this recipe. The kids love them and I love the buttery taste of these pancakes. They are just perfect.

Deviled Gelatin Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
These were so fun and easy to make. I couldn't find the egg mold so I used my egg plate as a mold and it worked out well. Just use cooking spray so they slide out easily. We used lemon jello and added a drop of food coloring to the "egg" to make more colors. Thanks so much for a great recipe that really added a nice touch to our Easter. I think this will become a tradition in our family.

Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
My family loved this and I will definitely make it again. It had a really good flavor and plenty of sauce. I like that it uses fresh carrots, celery and onion instead of the usual frozen carrots and peas.

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
I keep coming back to this recipe for the sauce. For the meatloaf, I just throw some stuff together but I love the sauce on top. Much better than plain old catsup.

Pork Chops Over Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
I will definitely be making this again. Not only was it really good, it was also very easy. I didn't have any peas so I just left them out and it came out great.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
My kids and I loved this recipe! It's a different twist to zucchini bread and I will definitely add this to our favorites. I used two regular loaf pans and baked for 1 hour and 20 minutes, as was suggested by another reviewer, and I sprinkled the bottoms of the greased pans with cinnamon sugar. Also I followed the suggestion of using 2 cups sugar and 1/4 brown sugar. They came out perfectly.

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
This was a nice alternative to the way we usually make our ribs. Normally we boil them for 45 minutes, then grill with some sauce. I thought this way would be a little less work with clean-up. I always hate washing that giant dutch oven. I followed the recommendation to use the rub by Cathy M., which can be found in the reviews below, and it was very good. The only issue I had was when I put them on the grill to carmelize the barbeque sauce, the bottoms got burned because of all the grease. So if you use this method, be sure to watch the ribs closely on the grill. I didn't use the foil like I should have. Next time I make ribs again, I'll more than likely use this method again.

Banana Muffins with a Crunch

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
Wow! These are the best banana muffins I've ever made. Probably even the best I've ever tasted. I've made many different recipes for banana muffins/banana bread and none were all that remarkable. Finally I've found a recipe I will use again and again. I actually cut the sugar down to a cup, but then when the first batch came out, they were good but I thought it could use a little more sugar. I added some more and it made the difference.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
I made this for my family tonight and am going to include this in the weekly line up. Not only is it healthier than ground beef, it was very tasty. Normally I really dislike turkey burgers but these were good. Even the kids and husband liked it and wanted seconds. I sort of improvised because I only had a pound of ground turkey. I also used Worcestershire pepper and some soy sauce, like another reviewer suggested. I was out of parsley so I used tarragon, but I doubt it really made a differenceat all. Also, because I have high cholesterol, I used egg beaters instead of the egg. Very good! Thanks for the recipe.

Jemput Jumput (Banana Fritters)

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2007
I thought these were great. They were a hit with one child but the other kids didn't care for them, to my surprise. I think it's a great way to use up old bananas, and easy too!

Waldorf Astoria Cake Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2007
This frosting was the best! The flavor was excellent, the consistancy perfect. It was perfect for cake decorating. I did not have butter flavored extract so I used some butter flavored popcorn salt instead, and the flavor was so good. This will the frosting I use whenever I make a cake now. In fact, I just came back to print the recipe so I will not lose it.
