Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup
made it slightly different than the recipe, left out the onions, beer and extra tomato sauce, added some water and some leftover salsa verde I had on hand. Also used leftover grilled chicken that had a chipotle lime marinade on it and some extra spices. Served with cilantro lime rice as well as the optional ingredients listed in the recipe. Yum!

All Day Apple Butter
I never knew it was so easy to make apple butter! This is delicious. I used less sugar - about 2 cups and I also added some allspice.

Apple Squares
Yum! I replaced about 1/8 t. of the vanilla for almond extract that gives it a great hint of almond that goes well with this recipe. I left out the walnuts and half of each of the sugars. The first time I made it I used 1/4 C. white sugar and 1/3 C. brown and that was good also. I can't imagine how sweet it must be with the full amount of sugar. I also added a whole small apple - 1 C. rather than 1/2 C. As others have suggested, the cinnamon sugar topping can also be halved. I didn't use the full amount either.
