Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2011
This was so easy and tasted yummy. I will definitely make again. I followed the recipe with the exception of using Thyme in place of oregano since I was out of it. It's a little high in fat content so I would like to figure out a way to reduce the fat...possibly use olive oil/butter mix with the garlic. Thanks for another recipe to add to our menu; especially with picky eaters!

This was yummy! Thank you for the recipe. I did not have the green chile peppers but it was still delicious. Will definitely be making this over and over!

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
Worked great! I halved the recipe and it came out delicious!!!!! I also made kettle corn by adding sugar and ooohh man was it yummy! Don't know why I hadn't thought to try this. Trying to get away from all the unnecessary chemicals added to "stuff" but not totally give up convenience. So, thank you so much!!!!!

Five-Veggie Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
ok...we didn't care for this when we first ate it; however, WE LOVED IT as leftovers! So, I'll be making this again but will prepare the night before and then just reheat for the next day. Thanks for the recipe!! This will be a regular at our table.

Chip Chicken Lollipops

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
We did not like these and the kids wouldn't eat them which surprised me. My son LOVES chips! My husband and I were able to eat them but it's not something we would make again. They were a bit too greasy (from the chips) for our liking; however, they looked great and the texture was perfect. Thanks for sharing the recipe though because I do like to try new ones!

Boiled Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
This was wonderful. It made a wonderful chicken stock. We had the most tender chicken and so flavorful. I also made majority of the chicken and broth into a soup and it was THE best chicken soup we had ever had. So, thank you for this basic boiled chicken recipe. I will never buy canned chicken again when this is so simple and much more tasty! I did follow the advice of some of the others and it turned out great! I can usually find whole chickens on sale for $.69/lb and the amt of meat you receive can make several meals. Works great to freeze as well. Just be sure and freeze in a little of it's broth to keep it moist. I also bought some ice cube trays and will use those to make my broth cubes to use. No longer needing to buy those very SALTY boullion cubes!

Three Cheese Manicotti II

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
We LOVED this! I made it as written with the exception of using my own spaghetti sauce that I had left over from a previous meal. This made A LOT! My hubby and I each had one and the kids split one (they're small children); which was more than enough with a salad and garlic bread. I'm ok with it being so much because now I have several meals made that I can pull from the freezer on a day that I don't want to mess with cooking something. Thanks for sharing the recipe and this one is definitely going into our regular rotation of meals and I'll be sharing with my friends and family. Yum!

Mini Ham And Cheese Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
These are soooo yummy. Only problem I've found with these is that I eat too many of them!!!!! Everyone that has tried these, love them. I did change two things, I drizzle some of the mixture on the inside and then put some on the outside as well. I also have the ham chipped so its easier to eat which prevents pulling the entire ham into your mouth when you take a bite. Yummy. Thanks for the recipe! I forgot to mention that I did as another suggested and just sliced the top off as well. The buns pull apart easily after they've been baked because I have the ham chipped (it's so thin that it falls apart.)

Mary's Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
These were great & easy to work with!!!! We haven't iced them yet (working with a three year old so we'll finish them tomorrow) BUT they taste great even without icing. I love the hint of almond flavor. When mixing the dough, I was concerned at first. It didn't look like it was going to form into a doughy mixture but after a couple of minutes of mixing the butter mixture finally worked its way through the flour mixture. I like the fact that you can make them a different thickness to get a different form of cookie. We have varied tastes in our family. Some like them soft and other like them crisp. Even the soft ones held their form while handling them after being baked. So, this recipe worked well for that. Thanks for the recipe! I will definitely make them again!

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
This was soooo YUMMMY!!!!! I did make a few changes only because I wanted more veggies. I'm sure it would have been good without the changes, too. I added cabbage, carrots, frozen peas, garden green beans, and a can of mixed veggies. I would never have thought to try the onion soup mix. It worked well. I was a little afraid it would be too salty but it was perfect! I would make one change. I would omit the macaroni or make it separate and add to the bowls as we dish it up. It was great the 1st day we ate it but the macaroni soaked up the soup and turned slimy. I didn't care for that. So, next time I will omit the macaroni would also allow me to freeze it for a busy day. This is definitely going in my recipe box! Thank you so much for this recipe!!!!

Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2007
We did not care for this. The rice/soup mixture was way too salty for our liking. The chicken; however, was very moist and had a wonderful flavor. We're saving the chicken for leftovers but ditched the rice/soup mixture. I believe it was the Onion soup mix that overpowered it. Perhaps, if this was omitted, it wouldn't be so salty. Might try that. We'll see. Carol, thanks for the recipe anyway. We always like trying new things and sometimes we find some we like and other times we don't. If we all had the same tastes then there wouldn't be anything new to try.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2007
This is the first time I've made cabbage rolls. My cabbage was a little tough around the thicker part, not sure why. The meat mixture was a little bland for our taste but it was still a good dish. Thanks for submitting your recipe!!!
