About this Cook
I'm 19 yrs of age and i own a Floristry business from home. People say i have a old wise head on young shoulders, i think they say this because i tend to always think things through properly before i act, i have interests in growing vegetables and fruit in my garden, and i tend to know a little of the history of music in the 60's70's &80's. I love to watch cooking shows and collect recipe books. You can never have enough good recipes books.
My favorite things to cook
Bread with mixed seeds Cherry & White chocolate muffins Rock cakes (sweet sponge with mixed dry fruit) Steaks Anything in pastry Lasagne Stews Pies carrot cake Lemon and blk pepper chicken Stir fries Home made pizza
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Dinner,Beef joint, Pork leg, turkey, streaky bacon and chipolata sausages...dont for get the stuffing!! We cook the meat and turkey slowly over night to serve at 2pm xmas day. The meat falls apart in your mouth. Sunday Dinner, Cottage pie and veggies with thick beef gravy.Lovely hearty meal. Birthday meals, we pick something we don't usually eat regularly, maybe crispy duck pan cakes,Bang bang chicken (poached chicken with slighty spicey creamy peanut butter with shredded cucumber and spring onion wrapped in warmed tortilla wraps. My birthday cake & special event cake challenge for friends and family, i have made a army tank cake, football pitch, driving test pass cake.
My cooking triumphs
Army tank cake Football pitch cake Carrot cake Breads...nutella chocolate swirl buns Gypsy tart Family fruit cake
My cooking tragedies
At school for g.c.s.e i needed to make a cake..it was the football pitch cake, i misread the recipe ingrediant weights and had half of what was recomended...so i scaled it down to a smaller football pitch that was easier to carry home lol..we were having a extension done to our house and it rained heavily and water came into our kitchen and ran down the walls leaving with a water logged football pitch.

Toffee Bar Cheesecake
Made this and its fab! Really creamy and tasty with a great cobination of textures, crumbly base, smooth cheese filling topped with a crunchy sweet shavings of toffee. Yum, i would give this a rating of 5 but the calorific value of 1 slice is 1/8th of a ladies daily recomended intake...:-# All in all, a wicked party dessert...a cheesecake you wont want to share!
