Simply Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
This was my 1st time making lasagna and found this recipe to be very qucik and easy to make and follow. I love the fact that I can use the lasagna straight out of the box instead of boiling them 1st. Thanks

Simple Mexican Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
I thought this was a great recipe to start with. I was getting tired of mine because my husband thought it just tasted like chicken, but this recipe does have that authentic mexican rice flavor to it. I took the advice from another rater and only used a little of the cumin. The results were great in the oven, and that is the only way I will go for now on because the rice does not stick or burn at the bottom of my casserole dish. Thanks for the delicious recipe!

Double Layer Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
this is my all time favorite. My husband hates pumpkin pie, but will only eat this pie I make for him. I've been making this pie for any occasion for the past 2 years and it never gets old. I do use a little more cream cheese to help thicken the bottom. I also put it on the bottom of the crust than store it in the freezer for about 10 mins. I don't use a cup of milk for the pumpkin layer. I only use about 3/4 of a cup because I find that it makes it runny. I do use a mixer to blend it till it is thicker, than I place the mixture in the fridge for about 10 mins. Than place the pumpkin on the top. The longer you chill it the better it is in holding its form.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2007
This recipe was outstanding. I made it twice for my husband. It was pretty easy to prepare and make being my first time making chili. Much simpler compared to the other chili recipes on this site. I did add a clove of garlic chopped finely, and celery as well. I added a little more onion that was chopped very fine (with my pampered chef chopper) and you couldn't even taste the pieces despite my husband hating onions! It gave it the perfect flavoring. I also added more ground red pepper to give it a good kick. I used my crockpot on low heat to make it and it only took about 8/9 hours. After about 11 hours on low, it tasted the best! Thanks for the recipe!!!
