About this Cook
I'm a 34 yr old living in West Jordan, Utah. I grew up in Southern California and came back to Utah nine years ago. My entire family is from Utah.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking. I've been known to make a good cake or buttermilk pie. Besides baking, I love making all types of desserts as long as it isn't too complicated. I enjoy making chicken in different ways. My favorite way to make chicken is to bake it with some Italian seasoning, garlic and butter.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom, was a huge dessert lover. I grew up eating homemade pudding and fudge. I learned how to make pudding from my Mom. My Dad is an excellent cook, and I was lucky to enjoy a lot of bbq growing up. It wouldn't be a meal without some garlic! My family and I, we are garlic lovers.
My cooking triumphs
I got a recipe here for Buttermilk Pie, and I get people requesting me to make it all the time. It's now known as "Rilartie's" buttermilk pie. I've put my own spin on it, and have made it with strawberries and chocolate chips. People can't get enough.
My cooking tragedies
There is always trial and error. One time I simmered chicken in this Mojito Sauce that I picked up. It was horrible. My husband did not like it. It's been over a year since I've made it and he still talks about it!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole
I loved this dish! It was very easy to make. I doubled the recipe and put it in a 9x13 pan and baked it for about an hour. It came out perfect. Firm, yet moist. I also added some chopped green onion like another reviewer suggested. I brought it to a family party and it was a hit! Definitely will make again.

Sloppy Joes I
I love this recipe! It's so easy and tasty. It works great with ground turkey also.

Basic Crepes
This is a great basic recipe, very easy to make and tasty. However my batter turned out a little thick, I agree with one reviewer, add a little more water to get a crepe batter consistency.
