Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
Finally a rave review from my picky husband. He just told me he would never have to go anywhere to eat wings again. These were very, very good!!! I am not a huge wing fan but even I thought they were good. And the equal parts hot sauce and butter really make a sauce that anyone can eat. A little heat, not too much. Overall an excellent recipe. This one's going in the permanent file!

Mushrooms with a Soy Sauce Glaze

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
Loved this! I doubled the recipe because I had a bunch of mushrooms to use but I didn't double the soy sauce because I didn't have enough. They were perfect. This is my new favorite recipe!

This was really good. I added chopped chicken, dried cranberries and chopped almonds and made it a meal.

Turkey Breakfast Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
I had no idea how simple it was to make your own sausage! After reading the ingredients on many of the prepackaged sausages I decided it had to be better to make my own. It was super easy and good! I made this recipe and another one from the Whole Foods website and while both were good, I decided to combine the two and got a GREAT sausage. To this recipe, I added an egg, and 1 apple finely chopped with excess liquid squeezed out. VERY GOOD!

Clone of a Cinnabon

These were exceptional. They certainly do take a while but it's well worth it. I will definitely hang on to this recipe. I followed the ingredients and recipe exactly and can't think of a thing that could be improved. Thanks for a great recipe!

The Best Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
These were pretty good. I didn't fry them, I baked them as others suggested. After baking, I let them simmer in marinara for a few hours before serving. Good, but not great.

Chocolate Mousse Cake IV

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Not sure what all the fuss is about. I followed the recipe exactly and it tastes like a plain chocolate cake with chocolate whipped cream. Nothing special. I baked it in two layers, frosted liberally and while it was very pretty in presentation, it lacked a lot in the taste department.

Triple Fudge Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Disappointing! Based on the name, I expected these to be "fudgy". They weren't. They are cake like and a little rubbery. Giving them 2 stars because it's still chocolate.

One Bowl Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
Mmmmm!!! These are really good and easy! I even substituted whole wheat flour for all purpose and smart balance instead of butter. I had to cook mine for about 40 minutes. I omitted the walnuts because I didn't have any. This has earned a spot in my permanent collection! Thanks!!!

Honey Wheat Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
These were better than I thought they'd be! I didn't have enough honey so I threw in the difference in sugar. Didn't have wheat germ so I omitted. Added 1/3 cup raisins, 1/3 cup choc chips, 1/3 milk, 2/3 cup oats. Substituted 1/4 of the butter for applesauce. So versatile and easy.

Fluffy Whole Wheat Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
I am very impressed by these biscuits! I did add a tad more baking powder because I used all whole wheat flour instead of half wheat and half white. I have made these 3 times now and I just made a triple batch to freeze for quick baking. Thanks!!!!

This was great! I used vidalia onions and sauteed them before adding them to the potatoes. I doubled the recipe and cooked for 2 hours. I took the foil off for the last 30 minutes. Turned out great!

Great, great, great! I made these two days ago for my husband and me and they are already gone. That's all we ate for dinner last night! I followed the recipe exactly only I removed them from the oven after 15 minutes. I am making a double batch today to freeze.

Quick Fudge Icing

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
This was fantastic! You HAVE to cook the ingredients on low until the sugar is completely dissolved and the shortening is melted BEFORE you bring it to a boil. I cooked it on low for about 10 minutes then boiled for 2 minutes. Then take it off heat and keep beating it while it cools. I beat it by hand for a minute then let it cool for a couple more then beat it again and so on until it was really thick and creamy. It's best not to use it until it's nearly completely cooled. My husband LOVED it. He said it reminded him of the chocolate icing on bakery donuts.

French Silk Chocolate Pie I

Very good. It did have a slight grainy texture but my husband actually liked that. Regardless, I will definitely make this again. I may cream it a little longer next time.
