Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
Great recipe. When the chicken was done I put in the sauce so it could simmer with the sauce, then I mixed my noodles in. A keeper for sure.

Coq Au Vin, My Way

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
LISTEN UP! This version of Coq Au Vin is AWESOME. I was excited about making it. Seasoned chicken with italian seasoning and put in skillet with olive oil and garlic. Added mushrooms (sliced) and fresh tomatoes and was surprised what a wonderful gravy this mixure produced. I used 1/2 cup of burgundy and let simmer. Transfered chicken to a cassorole dish and topped with about 1/2 cup of RED onion. Added cheese (1 cup) and cream to gravy OMG it smelled so good and about 1tsp of corn starch, Don't let the sauce get to thick pour over chicken and bake for 30 - the aroma from the kitchen filled the house. Served with garlic mashed potatoes (from this site) and steamed mixed veggies. My 9 yr old son ate like a 29yr old man LOL he couldn't get enough - My Hubby wants this dish in monthly rotation. THANKS CLWEST FOR SHARING!!

Almond-Crusted Halibut Crystal Symphony

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
This just didn't do it for me, maybe from the name I was expecting something more. I gave it a three cause I love Halibut, but the sauce was just rich sauce. My husband loved it.

I did let the potatoes cook first like other reviewers suggested. I also used maple turkey sausage instead of bacon this gave it so much flavor ummmm

Braised Lamb Shanks

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2008
First time preparing lamb shanks and decided to do it for Valentine's Day dinner for my hubby. I put in the oven for 3hrs and around about the end of the 1st hour the aroma that was coming from the kitchen was unbelievable. Hubby thought he was at a 5star restaurant. He now wants this dish at least once a month, I don't mind cause it's so simple to prepare. Thank you Mrs. Savage.

Heavenly Halibut

The only thing I did different was season the halibut with garlic salt before putting it in the oven. Excellent recipe. I served it with mushroom risotto and green beans.

Brazilian Black Bean Stew

This was very tasty stew. I omited the pepper and added more ground cumin AND as suggested by another reveiwer I added about 2/3 cup of merlot, which gave it a little kick. This receipe reminded my husband and I of chili but less heavy. Thanks for sharing this recipe, it's a keeper!!

Tasty Tuna Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
Yummy! You must use the alfredo sauce receipe from this site with the pasta - you won't regret it. I used mixed veggies instead of green peas.
