Honey Walnut Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
We loved this recipe, it is a keeper. I varied only a bit - I added half the honey as the sauce was bit too sweet. But I added about two cups of Honeydew melon balls (these were cold and added when with the walnuts/sauce at the end). Ahhhh.... wonderful served with Jasmine Rice!!!

Seven Layer Tortilla Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
This was fast, easy to prepare and my family loved it. I did add some black olives and increased the cilantro to 1/4 cup (we really like cilantro), I added small can of chopped green chiles to black beans. This recipe is a keeper.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
This is a keeper, especially for those of us that work! I, like others, was worried that the liquid was not enough - but after reading the reviews I followed the recipe as written. It was great. I served over buttered noodles and there was none left. Thank you Judi Ann for such an easy quick delicious recipe!

The Best Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
Wow, these were great and easy. I made two batches for a Christmas Party. I actually baked them on a rack over a cookie sheet. I followed the recipe except I omitted the olive oil (since I baked them) and used warm milk instead of water - only about 1/2 cup though. The texture was light not dense and that made for a great taste. I served the cooked meatballs in a crockpot with a sauce of 2 jars Chili Sauce and 2 cans cranberry sauce and everyone raved. I also made it a second time and froze the left overs for spaghetti sauce - my family liked them so much they told me just to serve them hot with nothing else. Great recipe.

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
This recipe is a keeper! It is a very good tiramisu flavor. I followed the majority of the comments: Used mascarpone cheese substitute -> 8 0z cream cheese + 2.5 T sour cream + 1/4 cup cream. Made 2 cakes with 4x espresso coffee powder mixed into the remaining cake mix plus 2x coffee liquer (Kahlua) and 2 teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder. I also used espresso coffee shots for brewed coffee. I served only 7 people and they ate the whole cake after a very big lunch! Try this - it is really good.

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2012
This is a keeper. I used Pepperidge Farm Chess Cookies and real whipped cream with a bit of powder sugar to sweeten instead of the whipped topping. Everyone raves about it - simple to make but a real crowd pleaser.
