Marinated Tuna Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2014
Turned out delicious! Reminded me of a teriyaki sauce. I pan seared them and the steaks came out great!

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
Delicious! Followed suggestions and used a glaze of powdered sugar, orange juice and vanilla and poured it over the loaf while still warm. Will not use any other cranberry orange bread recipe...I have found the perfect one!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
Made this soup tonight and will not ever use another potato soup recipe! There is no need to! I added a few carrots and 1 1/2 - 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese to make it a cheesy potato soup. It's delicious!

I used the review suggestions and used the egg wash before dipping the chicken in the bread crumb. Delicious!

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2011
I had never made chicken fried steak before attempting this recipe and when I try new things my husband likes to grumble about it....MEN! Well after cooking this recipe he said, "Is this your first time cooking chicken fried steak?". He had no excitement in his voice so I said, "Yes, why? Is it not any good?". He replied, " No...no...it is absolutely DELICIOUS!!" And it really was. The batter recipe is great!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2011
I have always had the worst luck with baking cookies and have attempted chocolate chip cookies with many recipes and using this recipe I finally achieved cookie success!! I believe that the vanilla pudding addition is the superstar ingredient. I will never try another recipe because this one seems perfect in every way!! By the way, I cut the recipe exactly in half because I didn't want to have too many cookies and the recipe still turned out superb!

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
Great recipe. I just wanted to do plain poppers and so I only filled the jalepenos with cream cheese and omitted the bacon and extra shredded cheese. I am sure they would be delicious with those added though. Thanks!

Cranberry Oat Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
This recipe is GREAT! I work at a coffee shop and we order cranberry walnut bars from somewhere else. I tried them and wanted to find a recipe so that I could make them at home. This recipe looked like it was the closest match so I tested it out. I added about 1/2 a cup more oatmeal, 1/2 cup of coarsely chopped walnuts, as well as some allspice, cinnamon and cloves to the dry mixture and used 1 (16 oz) can of whole berrry cranberry sauce as the middle spread instead of making the cranberry sauce myself. They turned out amazing and almost the exact flavor of the ones we sell at the coffee shop! One more thing, I did use a 9x9 pan put I had no extra because I make a very thick bottom layer and also worked the bottom layer up the side of the pan halfway. I saved just enough of the mixture to cover the top of the cranberry sauce.

Chicken Satay

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
About a month ago I ordered chicken satay at a ethnic restuarant and the flavor was kind of exotic and I loved it. I tried this recipe and it was so close to a replica of that! I am so excited that I know how to make that dish now. I think it is the curry powder that sets it aside, along with the mild hint of peanut butter. This would be great with coconut rice.

French Crepes

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
These turned out great. They were just like the ones my grandpa used to make for me when I was little. I made a berry sauce with blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice to put over the top of them. Couldn't have been better!

Kielbasa and Kidney Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
Ok...so I tried this recipe out and here is what I did...I used red kidney beans instead of white and I eliminated the steak sauce but then used more of the other sauce ingredients (Worcestershire and apple cider vinegar) using the same amount of brown sugar that the recipe calls for. This made a little more sauce while also cutting out some of the intense sweet-flavor that everyone was mentioning. It turned out fabulous! I paired it with Brazilian White Rice, which you can find on this site and the two went together very well!

I used one and a half cups of rice and three cups of water but left the other ingredients the same. It was delicious! Its a million times better than the instant rice while being just as simple to make! Definately a keeper recipe :)

Oatmeal Pancakes II

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
I tried these pancakes this morning for breakfast and they were amazing! They were very fluffy and raised very well. This has become my new favorite pancake recipe. Oh and just a little hint... I sprinkled some fresh blackberries into my last pancake while it was cooking and it turned out delicious!

Creamy Hot Cocoa

This hot chocolate recipe is amazing! :) I did not know that hot chocolate could taste so great by making it yourself in your home. Adding Toroni flavorings in this cocoa would be a great way to spice it up!
