Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
Most of the family really enjoyed these (i have a picky 8 yr old). I would add additional flavor next time though. Recipe doesn't call for a separate salt-just the salt in the chili powder. That wasn't enough. Add salt.

Honey Graham Crackers

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
Flavor was good, not great. I had to keep adding lots of flour during rolling to keep from sticking and you can only do so many repeat rolls (to use up extra bits) before the batter starts drying out.

Tasted great after first making. Lacked flavor when eaten cold later on.

Whole Grain Waffles

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
Worked great! Only thing is I will change out the all purpose flour to cornstarch to try to get a crispier waffle.

Belgian Waffles

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
Batter bubbled up great and cooked well. Flavor was poor. I'm going to have to do some adjusting to the recipe to get a good flavor.

Potatoes Madras

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2007
This was very good! Will definately make again. I served with Jasmin rice. One child really enjoyed the cauliflower, the other the potatoes. Will probably add a bit of cayenne next time.

Banana Muffins I

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2007
These are good for a low-fat recipe. They are not good when first eating them warm, can definately sense more of the baking powder aftertaste. (and I used less than the recipe called for). Once cooled however, they were tasty enough to eat again. Don't expect a cakey muffin though.

Aunt Mary's Eggplant Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2007
With tweaking I think these will be really good. Parsley is overpowering. I subbed more bread crumbs for the parmesan to make non-dairy. They were a little dry. I will try them again though. Once the recipe is tweaked, it's another great way to use the lovely eggplant.

Beans and Greens

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
Delicious and Easy! I sauteed fresh onion and garlic first, added the frozen spinach and enough broth to cover. Let that cook, then added the beans and spices. Even the kids ate some! (with help).
