Madeleines II

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2009
Sorry, but without the beurre noisette (brown butter) that I think a Madeleine requires, these were just poor. It's a bit like calling a tofu burger a hamburger.

Wonderful Chicken Curry Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2008
Yes, I did the photo of the dish. I tripled the dish as I am a huge lover of indian food, and so does my wife. Sorry though, the chutney made it nasty. Love the idea of curry in a creamy chicken salad though. Won't make again, tossed 15 bucks worth of food.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
Won second place in a bakeoff. This is the richest cake I've ever seen. Keep it chilled before serving! It melted heavily at a Texas BBQ.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Hands down, best meatloaf I have had. Added rotel to spice it up. My wife commented 12 times it was the best she has had. Save this recipe.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
Outstanding, made very few mods to the soup. I added a little carrot for color. I sub'ed 2/3 of the water with chicken broth. I ommitted the bouillion cubes. I suggest starting the roux when you boil the potatoes. It took a while to get the roux right. It is quite thin the day of cooking. Refrigeration overnight thickens it up nicely and tastes much better. This is one heck of a awesome soup. I need an easier way to dice.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
It was good, ommited the lettuce. It really needed to be spicier though. No better, no worse than many other similar dips I have had.
