Conchas (Mexican Sweet Bread)

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
I consider myself a breakfast master. I am always looking for new dishes and ways to spruce up the classics. This sweet bread looks and tastes beautiful. It is also simple and impressive. I was very pleased with the results. Next time i'll make them a little smaller, I think a smaller size would be easier for me to manage.

Perfect side for my 2011 Mother's Day meal. It was flavorful, fresh and a cinch to make. I will definitely be making these asparagus again.

Stephen's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
Very easy to follow, and the flavor of this cookie is divine. I didn't like how lightly colored they turned out. I prefer a toasted golden brown color. Since I was trying to achieve this my cookies got too crispy. But they were still a hit!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
LET THE DOUGH SIT FOR AT LEAST 24HRS!!!!! We love cookies so I rushed and cooked them them immediately first day, big mistake. Second time I made them, I let the dough sit for 6hrs, still not quite right. But when I let the dough refrigerate for 24hrs before baking, they were phenomenal. This recipe is just what i'm looking for in a cookie. It is a golden brown color, crisp on the edges, ooey gooey melty on the inside, but only if I refrigerated the dough for 24hrs first. When I didn't, the cookie was to hard and light in color, or it was to crunch and light in color, or it came out to cakey-that is not the type of cookie I was searching for. I guess a little patience went a long way for me. Not sure if I'm finished with my cookie search, but this recipe is in my top 5.

Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
This dish was so simple and delicious, I even added raisins. I also love how customizable the recipe is, I added more nuts and spices because we love that. Usually crisps, pies and cobblers have a high fruit low crust ratio, I looooove crust. For this recipe I just made extra and it was amazing, my family loved it!

This recipe was perfect for me! It was fast, healthy and delicious. My husband didn't even notice that there wasn't any meat in it. We had enough to be full and still had some leftovers.

Italian Style Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
i love salt and my husband and i love bold flavorful dishes but the seasonings overpowered the recipe and i had 2 pounds of meat. even with more meat and the same measurements for the seasoning, it was too much. next time i make it i will scale back on the spices especially the garlic salt, then this will be a spectacular recipe.

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
This was just as delicious as all the reviews said it was. I used ground turkey and I forgot the pepperoni but it still was a hit at my house. I also only had spaghetti sauce, so I just used that and the recipee turned out great. This casserole multiplies really well and easily can fill a lot of people. Only one thing left to say...delicious!

Summer Sub Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
I used this recipe to spice up the usual sandwich I make for my husband. He's been eating turkey and cheese on white for a year now, it was starting to get old. He loves this sandwich, I used canned mushrooms because that's all I had and I also added cucumbers. Now he looks forward to the sandwich I make him instead of sneaking and buying a burger.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
This was absolutely delicious and very easy to tailor to our specific food preferences (lots of garlic and spicey). I was also able to increase the recipe with ease, my husband stuffs himself when he likes something. He loved this, i'm glad I doubled the recipe.
