LET THE DOUGH SIT FOR AT LEAST 24HRS!!!!! We love cookies so I rushed and cooked them them immediately first day, big mistake. Second time I made them, I let the dough sit for 6hrs, still not quite right. But when I let the dough refrigerate for 24hrs before baking, they were phenomenal. This recipe is just what i'm looking for in a cookie. It is a golden brown color, crisp on the edges, ooey gooey melty on the inside, but only if I refrigerated the dough for 24hrs first. When I didn't, the cookie was to hard and light in color, or it was to crunch and light in color, or it came out to cakey-that is not the type of cookie I was searching for. I guess a little patience went a long way for me. Not sure if I'm finished with my cookie search, but this recipe is in my top 5.
