I used canned black beans and it was still delicious! Husband really like them as did my kids. Will definitely make again.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2012
Quite possibly one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. I do love cream cheese though! I used 1 8oz pkg of cream cheese, 1/4 butter, 2 cups powdered sugar and 1 1/2 tsp of good vanilla. It was the right amount for a 9 x 13 pan of zucchini bars. Great recipe!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Amazing! My husband and I gobbled up tons of them before we were even ready to share. Great blend of spices and just the right amount of molasses flavor.

Taste's like Macaroni Grill's signature bread. Very good-especially fresh out of the oven and smothered in butter.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
I was a bit disappointed in the recipe. I made it for a small dinner party and it was edible but definitely tasted like it was made from processed foods. I should have realized that when looking at the ingredients. It was not bad, just not company/dinner party worthy.

Mound Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
These bars are delicious! My grandmother has been making them for years and they are a family favorite. I would highly recommend substituting Hershey's chocolate bars for the choc. chips. Not only do they add great flavor, but they create a smooth top on the bars. Add 6 unwrapped bars after they come out of the oven. The bars will naturally melt over the coconut/milk mixture. You can then smooth it out over the top. My mom recommends to score the bars with a sharp knife before they fully set up. This way you can get nice clean slices. Also, I love these bars chilled!

A good recipe for using leftover shrimp. My husband and I both enjoyed this one. Be sure to go easy on the red pepper flakes.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

This was good, but I wasn't as impressed as I thought I was going to be. I probably won't be making this one again.

White Chocolate Gorp

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
Really easy and really good! It's not actually that bad for you either, when made with almond bark. Kids and adults both enjoyed this one! I used peanuts instead of cashews and added in raisins.

Seven Layer Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
This was a really good version of the basic seven layer salad. I received compliments on it from family members that have been making it for years. Be sure to use Hellman's Real (full fat) mayonnaise. It does make a difference! I also add slice of hard-boiled eggs.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
This was delicious! We added the sour cream separately at the end. This saved even more calories and fat. I served it homemade tortilla chips. I will be making this one again.

Better Than Sex Cake II

This is a classic. I would definitley recommend using the entire can of sweetened condensed milk and the entire bottle of caramel sauce. I also add extra toffee pieces.

Very tasty way to make fish. My husband and I both gobbled it up. I've made it at least 3 times so far and given the recipe to family and friends! Delicious!

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
This was really rich: a great fall/winter time soup. I enjoyed the buttery flavor. I roasted the squash and it worked great that way. I also used a very small amount of light cream cheese to make it healthier.
