Chicken Creole with Chile Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
We did not like this. The flavor was just not there - I even doubled everything. If I make it again, I will try adding some seasoning salt or "house seasoning" to the chicken, and then the creole/cajun seasoning, as well as combining the sauce in a separate saucepan instead of adding it to the skillet with the chicken & adding some additional salt/pepper to the sauce.

Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
These are AWESOME! I couldn't stop eating them as they were coming out of the oven. Even my husband liked them. I followed the ingredients exactly. However, I didn't chill them first - just mixed, shaped and baked. I did roll in the green & green sugars for the holiday. And, I though soft cookies would be better, so no more than 8 minutes. Wonderful & will be a lifetime keeper!! Thank you for sharing.

Green Chili Chicken Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
Excellent. We used ground turkey instead. This is a keeper. I'm only giving 4 stars because as is written, the burgers were too "wet" and I had to add breadcrumbs. I usually don't like turkey or chicken burgers, but this had me going back for seconds (well, half seconds - split the seconds with hubby).

Maple Bacon Pancake

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
Great recipe! Hits all the favorites of breakfast. I had to cook a little longer than the recipe indicates, but other than that, I left the recipe as is. Thanks for sharing!

Asian Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
WONDERFUL! I could drink the dressing - that really makes the salad. I used my Pampered Chef Asian seasoning for the chicken. I bought the wrong rice nooodles, but it was still good. Thanks for sharing!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2010
What a good chicken! We ate (there's only 2 of us) the entire bird. My husband couldn't stop commenting on the tenderness of the meat. I don't usually cook whole chickens, but this will be a forever recipe!

Yummy Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
Very "yummy!" I used sausage in stead of bacon. The only change I would make next time would be to use 1/2 the amount of cheese. Thanks for the recipe!

Cashew Avocado Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
My husband really loved this recipe. It was very yummy, and easy to prepare. However, I did prefer it without the bacon - and we added lettuce. I didn't have enough ranch dressing, so I used the ranch dressing recipe from this site & it was all delicious. Will definetely make again & again!

Richard and Suzanne's Famous Red Beans and Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
I grew up eating red beans & rice on a regular basis. I've also tried many different recipes and just couldn't find "the one." This one is it. I made it with the bacon as instructed, but I just don't see the need for it. And, I ended up having to make a roux because I like my beans a little thicker. And for those reasons (and those reasons only) I had to give 4 out of 5 stars. Truly a great red beans dish! Don't forget the corn bread!!

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
DELICIOUS! This was a great recipe. If you don't like chocolate, this is not the recipe for you. But, I happen to LOVE chocolate and I LOVED these cookies! Didn't and wouldn't change a thing! Thanks for sharing.

Cheese Ball I

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
Just made this for a bridal shower for a friend. Everyone loved them. Made "individual" balls instead of one large ball. Rave reviews! Be sure to finely grind the pecans to get the best coating. If making "individual" balls, it's best to roll the balls in your hand with the pecans. Thanks for a great recipe!

Italian Appetizer - Bagna Cauda

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
I made this for a wedding shower and it was terrible. I had several people try it before I served it, and they didn't like it either. We ended up having to run out to buy Ranch dressing to serve with all the vegies instead. Sorry, but this was a no-go.

I have made this for Christmas gifts for the past several years - when I thought I might not do it anymore, I was begged to continue. This is a wonderful recipe - Greek friends have given all thumbs up! Thanks for sharing!

Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
Made four days after Thanksgiving to use up all that leftover turkey. Probably the best pot pie I've ever had - I'm not a big pot pie person. Will keep for next year. Thanks for sharing!

Chicken Cashew Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
Because I don't like chunks of chicken, I always use my food chopper to finely chop the chicken and the chicken is like an accessory to the salad - it's really good and I've received a lot of rave reviews for the salad. Thanks for sharing!

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Love this recipe. I, like another review, had blueberries but no milk. I don't think I'll ever make another blueberry muffin recipe. They were so moist and yummy. I did add extra vanilla and blueberries. YUMMY!

Fabulously Sweet Pear Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2005
This makes a wonderful Pear Bread. I followed another review & made it bread instead. I also forgot to add the oil, which turned out better because I used (really) ripe pears. With the ripe pears, no need for the cup of oil. I started a new job & made this for the office. When my probation period was to end, my bosses told me they could not release me from probation until I made more pear bread! I would recommend this recipe to anyone & this has become a standard baking recipe & requested often. Thanks for the recipe!

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2005
I made this recipe for dinner and liked it. When I needed a dinner recipe for a banquet, I turned to this chicken recipe. Everyone loved it & raved about it, even for a few days after the banquet. I makes a nice presentation. I browned the chicken the day before the banquet and left the chicken in the fridge overnight. The day of the banquet I just topped it off and baked it. Wondeful success!!
