Easy Turkey Curry

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
Really, really good and easy to make. Took some other reviewers advice and added peas, made with chicken instead of turkey. Not very spicy, will add more curry next time, but it was still excellent.

Crab Cakes III

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
First time ever making these, was much, much easier than I expected. Did not have Old Bay seasoning so I had to substitute. Even without, these were really, really good! Did not make the sauce, used sour cream and mayo with dill instead.

Honey Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
This was just ok. Did not have much flavor overall, even with added soy sauce and garlic.

Creamy Mushroom Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
Very good. Added some cooked, cut-up chicken when liquid was cooking, mixed cornstarch with water first before adding. Instead of just using Italian seasoning I also added oregano, black pepper, parsley, and onion powder. Used penne instead of fettucine. Will probably make this again.

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
Made this as a side dish for Christmas dinner. Very easy to make and very tasty, but a little too salty for me. I don't think I needed to add salt to it at all because of the cheese. Family raved and took home leftovers, but if I make it again I will omit the salt and mince the garlic instead of slicing.

Italian Herb Bread I

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This was my first time making homemade bread ever. I was surprised by how easy this recipe was (despite the manual labor of stirring in the 6 cups of flour). It came out sooooooo good and smelled incredible! I will definitely make this again.

Chicken with Garlic, Basil, and Parsley

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I doubled this recipe and made it for Christmas dinner. It was really good and everyone raved. Just the right amount of flavor and the chicken was really tender. Also very, very easy to make!

Green Beans with Herb Dressing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
Whoever created this recipe must really love onions. I only used 2 instead of 6 for 24oz of fresh green beans, and we couldn't taste the green beans. If I were to make this again I would probably cut the onions down to 1 and double the garlic.

Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
Used half the amount of chicken with the same amount of sauce. Used homemade alfredo and homemade pesto. Very good!

Chicken and Bow Tie Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
This was pretty darn good. I cooked the chicken in the skillet first, in olive oil, garlic, and onion. I removed it once it was cooked through, then followed the rest of the directions, adding the chicken back in at the end. I used low-fat Philadelphia chive and onion cream cheese, and used a tiny bit of crushed red pepper instead of the actual red peppers. I will definitely make this again.

Turkey Pasta Primavera

This was okay. It was a little on the bland side for me.

Death By Garlic

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2007
I made the recipe exactly as written. I am a huge garlic lover, and this is no more garlic than I add to most pasta dishes. However, it's waaaay too spicy because of the red pepper - it's not the garlic that's overpowering. If I take the pepper out, it's the same basic pasta dish I've been making forever.

Basil Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
Very good, but not much innovation here. It's essentially chicken alfredo with basil.

Chicken Tarragon Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2007
I only had red peppers, so I omitted the yellow. I also didn't have plain monterey jack so I used a blend with cheddar for the sauce. I loved it, but my husband didn't like it because he felt the peppers overpowered the sauce. If I made it again I would probably use either half the peppers, or omit completely.

Vegetarian Lime Orzo

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2007
This was ok, though not really any fault of the recipe. I didn't like it with the orzo but would probably like it much better with angel hair. Definitely has a different taste if you're not used to lime. Smells great while cooking it. Might make it again.

Chicken and Bowtie Pasta with Asiago Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2007
This was good. I added a lot of extra garlic (my husband and I can never get enough), and extra cheese. I also omitted the mushrooms because my husband won't eat them.

Southwestern-Flavored Ground Beef or Turkey for Tacos & Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2007
This seasoning comes out more like Ortega taco seasoning than the Old El Paso that we would normally use, but it was still really good. I cooked it with a seeded jalapeno chile, and was forced to omit the diced tomatoes as my husband hates them and I had no salsa on hand. It could have used a little more spice, but otherwise it was really good and satisfying to eat tacos without all that extra sodium.

Garlic Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2007
These were pretty good. I added more garlic than was recommended. When they came out of the oven they seemed a little bland for my taste, so I added an Italian shredded cheese mix, (mozzarella, fontina, romano, asiago) on top, and they were much better. I will make them again.
