I'm not a big fan of using canned biscuits when you are trying to duplicate a dough that is as delicate as an Empanada or pie dough. It's just not the same. I prefer a flakier crust. The Picadillo filling just didn't work for me either. This recipe just didn't quite hit any of the highs for me.

Garlic Shrimp Linguine

This is not only one of the aasiest, quickest dinners you'll ever make, it is also one of the most delicious! If you love shrimp and are careful cooking them to "just done", you can't mess up this dish. I keep flash frozen shrimp on hand just for great, quick dishes like this one!

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

This is the way I remember Onion Rings from when I was a kid. These are not the same ole Pub Grub that comes out of the bottom of a box on the floor of a freezer somewhere...these are the real deal! Crunchy, delicious!

Cranberry Orange Cookies

These are my one of my favorite Holiday cookie recipes!! I love Orange and Cranberry together and this is not only delicious, these cookies are just different enough to really stand out and wrapped in some clear cellophane, they make a beautiful hostess gift. Their is an elegance to these tasty treats. Easy to prepare and so good!! I also use an orange flavored sugar sprinkle instead of the icing a lot of the time. Lightens the cookie up a bit. Just Orange zest and sugar does the trick!

Beau Monde™ Dip

This is a great dip! I was so glad to find this recipe. Years ago, a lady I worked with made a wonderful dip that I had never had before and told me it was "Beau Monde Dip". When I found the Beau Monde in the spice section at the grocers, I bought it and made it for my next get together. It is really good with crudite, but really it can be eaten with anything you want to dip. Do try this!!!

Beef and Cheese Ball

The dried beef is salty and I always rinse the beef under cold tap water and dry between paper towels. I do this for any recipe that calls for dried beef. There's really no other way around the salt, and it doesn't affect the real beef taste for the recipe.

Three Cheese Manicotti II

Banana Banana Bread
