Roasted Vegetable Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
I thought this was a very good recipe. Like some reviews suggested, I used a bit more sauce than the recipe called for, it would have been dry had I not used more. If you are a vegitable lover like myself this is a good recipe.

Spicy Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
When I first started cooking I made this recipe and really liked it; however, I made this again a few years later and I did not care for it at all. Not sure if I did something different this time around or my cooking skills have improved thus changing my expectations, but I won't be keeping this in my recipe book.

Acapulco Chicken

Neither my fiance or I really cared for this recipe all that well. I cannot say it was bad, just not something I plan on making again.

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
Great recipe especially if you have a bit of a sore throat, due to the Cayenne pepper.

Pizza Pinwheels

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
Easy and good recipe, especially for kids. I followed another reviewer's advice and made them into pizza filled croissants rather than pin wheels. It worked great.

Yummy!! Fattening, but excellent recipe for summer grill outs - everyone loved it.

Birthday Bones

BEWARE! If your dog has any sensitivities to food this is not the recipe for them. My lab had a horrible allergic reaction to this recipe. Turns out, as some raters have already suggested - milk is not good for dogs. If you use this recipe don't use the milk!! I was also told to remove the baking powder as an extra precaution.

Decent recipe. With a little tweaking on the flavor it could be a really good recipe.

My favorite sugar cookies yet! I got rave reviews from Steve's co-workers for these cookies.

I give this recipe three stars because I didn't like the cookies, but everyone else seemed to like them.

Luscious Slush Punch

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
The punch is ok. My only complaint is that it didn't stay slushy long; by the time anyone got to the punch it was already completely melted.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
This recipe is delicious!! I followed the directions with the following exceptions: (1) I tossed the apples in the sugar, cinnamon and flour as one reviewer had suggested and (2) I did not add any water. The granny smith apples I used were juicy enough - the extra water would have been way too much.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
This recipe was great! My husband and I both loved this recipe which is rare. The only change I may make in the future is to mash up the tomatoes before I add the meatballs - my husband was not to fond of the whole tomatoes in the sauce.

Excellent Dip! I also love using it as the "sauce" for my fruit pizzas.

Grilled Garlic Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
Not bad, but not the best potatoe recipe either. I was looking for a different recipe for potatoes, but my husband still prefers the lipton packaged seasoning on his potatoes.

Fabulous French Loaves

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
OMG I LOVE this recipe!! I had never made bread before and I was told not to expect it to turn out on my first try, but it turned out wonderful. I cut the recipe in half and made as stated, with the exception of the sesame seeds which I left out. Definitely a keeper!!! I only baked for 25 minutes - 35 minutes would have been too long.

This recipe has a little more flavor than the box mixes and are easy to make. I prepared exactly as stated in the recipe and they turned out good.

This recipe was really good. I took the advice of some other reviewers and added some salt, pepper and some garlic for additional flavor and it turned out good.

Unbelievable Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
I must have done something wrong. I ended up with dense "hockey pucks" rather than fluffy rolls. I am giving this recipe a three because my unbelievable hockey pucks tasted good and I think it was more my error than a bad recipe. This was only my second time making a bread product so maybe with some practice I will become more consistent. Update: Someone suggested that I warm up the milk and water to 110 and then mix with sugar and yeast rather than doing it on the stove b/c it is difficult to manage the temperature which is crucial with bread. This time I ended up with wonderful fluffy rolls. :)
