Clone of a Cinnabon

Cinnamon rolls are our xmas breakfast tradition, thought I would try a homemade version for the first time. First of all, I haven't actually eaten these yet. I was experimenting with making the day before and going to make the icing in the morning then eat (just too much work for xmas morning). Well, wish I had read the reviews. I actually baked mine and wish I had put them in the frig as others have successfully done. I think mine will be fine though. Wanted to give my input also: Do lower the temp some and/or cook for less time.. mine got a little too brown on top. Also, took much longer to get the rise both times. First one in the machine took an extra hour I would say......to double in size and fill my pan. Second rise took at least an hour also (after cut and in pan) But, as I am now reading, I would have just put them in the frig for morning at this point. One really good tip I just learned from my MIL: using thread to cut them. Just place thread under the roll and cross the thread on the top and pull (like the first step to tying your shoe) until it totally cuts off the roll. Worked amazing!!!! Enjoy! I know we will and now I have a good plan for xmas morning!

Cheesy Stuffed Shells

This was good.........but ended up with way too much spinach in ours. Too overwhelming......but with a spinach cut back, would be very good.

Buttermilk Pralines

I really LOVE this praline. It does, however, require patience........which is hard for me, and I end up with a mess of sticky dishes, but well worth it!

Five Flavor Pound Cake II

This is the absolute best pound cake. I especially love it with strawberrys for strawberry shortcake! Everyone that I have served it to has loved it. Definitely a keeper!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

I am not a pot pie person...but this was terrific! I followed the recipe exactly and then seasoned my serving with a little garlic powder and some roasted peppers we dehydrated. It was a little time consuming..but well worth it!
