Cocoa Banana Bars

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
Tasted great. But I think I was expecting more of a brownie. This recipe is like a cake cut into squares. But they were good.

Lemon Orzo Primavera

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
Quick, easy to make, and a nice change from the usual. Don't cook the orzo too long, it will become a big pile of mush.

Tzatziki Sauce

Nice dip for pita or sauce for Greek/ Arab food. Easy to prepare. Make sure to use a good quality plain yogurt and refrigerate before eating so flavors meld.

PHILLY Maple Nut Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
Really good. I mixed the syrup in with the cheese. Go easy on the syrup however, more than the recipe calls for would make it too sweet. I shaped mine like a log and it went fast.

Cannelloni Florentine

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
Fantastic. However, I left out the spinach. Most of all, I served it with a white sauce instead of a red sauce. The white sauce tastes better with the meat filling and also it's more tradional. Don't forget the fresh nutmeg in the sauce, it makes all the difference.

Serious Herb Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
Very good. Like anything else, it's better the more it sits. Also, take the chill off of it before you serve.

Italian Vegetable Soup with Beans, Spinach & Pesto

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
Nothing special. If anything, we felt that there is too much going on in this soup. Nothing stands out because there like 20 things in it. I did however make my own vegetable stock first, which was awesome; as always.

Onions Baked with Rosemary and Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
Elegant and easy to make. I covered it the first 30 minutes and also added a 1/4c of white wine. This makes a great side dish. Sure to impress and the aromas are to die for.

the recipe was good but it wasn't sweet enough for me. also, i didn't strain my ricotta first and wish i had. i made the whole recipe and used it in the center of 2 9" layer cakes with homemade frosting from this site. it had some wow factor at a famliy dinner.

Apple Goat Cheese Bruschetta

Couldn't be simplier. Couldn't be tastier. Smaller pieces of apples makes it easier to assemble and eat. The fresh herbs are key. A big wow factor with this recipe.

Just like the ones my nana made while I was little. I made my own bread crumbs from some day old. That's all it takes to make it off the hook.
