Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
Fantastic recipe! My family and I loved this. It was very flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth tender. I followed the recipe except used a whole packet of the brown gravy mix and a whole can of cola, and added potatoes.

Marzetti® Famous Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2010
Ok, 5 stars the way I make it! I have two versions that we think are fantastic. I've taken both versions to parties and people love them both! The first is to add a chopped jalapeno (to taste, sometimes I leave in the seeds and membrane for a real kick) and pineapple chunks. I use some of the pineapple juice from the can too. The other is to grate onion and apple and add to the slaw. I chill both thoroughly before serving. Yummy!!

Baby BLT

These were delicious! I got raves and requests for the recipe. But, they were pretty hard to stuff, slippery and messy. Will probably make them again though.

Stuffing Meatballs

These were really good, and easy! I followed the recipe except added minced onion to the meat mixture. They were tasty and not dry like I thought they might be. I'll keep this recipe.

World's Best Cream Cheese and Pineapple Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
This was different and delicious! Everyone raved about this, and it was gone very quickly. The only change I made was that I didn't have onion powder on hand so used a little seasoned salt and pepper. I used one larger and one smaller garlic clove, so it wasn't overpowering at all. Served with sliced baguette. Yummy!

Waldorf Salad II

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2012
I doubled the recipe, except used 3 teaspoons lemon juice (two with the apples, one with the dressing). This turned out so good! Brought it to a group gathering and everybody loved it. I ate what little was left over for lunch the next day. Will definitely make again, very easy.

Mom's Italian Beef Barley Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
Yummy! I made a few changes though: used 7-bone roast, beef stock instead of bouillon, 1 small can diced tomatoes and peppers, 1/2 can tomato paste instead of tomato sauce, added celery and carrots, and cooked on the stove instead of slow cooker. Turned out GREAT!! Even better the next day!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2007
The name of the recipe says it all. This was good; tasty and filling on a cold night. I pretty much followed the recipe (I don't like to measure so kinda winged some things)and added a can of corn. I will make this again for sure.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
This was great! It was very easy to make and my husband & I really liked it. Followed the recipe, except only had bacon-ranch dressing on hand so used that. Husband's not a big fan of boneless chicken breasts so might try boneless thighs next time.

Flatlander Chili

This was really good. I substituted a can of diced tomatoes with jalapenos and a can of tomato sauce for the tomato sauce/juice. Otherwise I followed the recipe. Very flavoful and I really liked just the touch of sugar.

Garlic Sauteed Artichokes

Very good. I steamed them first, then added the butter and browned them a little, then added the garlic (so it wouldn't burn). My husband and I both loved them.

Smokey Chipotle Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
This has alot of potential, but I think I messed it up. I used thawed hamburger out of my freezer and probably mixed the ingredients too much, so mine came out a little dry and tough. The flavor was fantastic though, a nice change from my usual meatloaf. The family liked it. Needs quite a bit more salt too, for our taste.
