Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2015
It needs more seasoning, like garlic, pepper, maybe poultry seasoning. It's very good even without; just a bit bland. I'm surprised that other reviewers felt they needed to double the liquid. I achieved more than enough thickened liquid to fill the pan. I had a bit leftover.

Microwave Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2014
The popcorn/caramel burned well before 70 seconds at normal full power in my 1100-watt machine, although the recipe does not mention what power level to use. I'm sure it's great when it works, I'm sticking to the oven method.

B.L.T. Salad with Basil Mayo Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2013
I tried this because BTL is a favorite. I did sub plain yogurt for the mayo and used dried basil. Skipped the bread, too. I really liked the dressing---it makes a basic salad with tomatoes and bacon really special. I've made this twice now. A keeper.

I made this for Easter dinner. Several family members raved. I did add garlic per others' suggestions. I will make this again.

Easy Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
I made these using only a spice cake box mix and a can of pumpkin. They are very good with subtle spiciness. I might try amping up the flavor with additional spices next time.

Mushroom Spinach Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
Love this. I only used onions, skipped the butter and sherry to reduce the fat. It's a keeper recipe. I'm sure the butter and sherry only enhances the flavor. I'll try it next time with leeks as well.

Tomato Basil Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
Really nice and tasty with fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden. I think I'll add some chunks of fresh mozzarella to it the next time.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
For a quick & easy soup, this was really good. Next time, as others have mentioned, I'll add another can of beans, or even shredded chicken for more texture.
