Monkey Bread V

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2007
Really good out of the oven! I didn't use the other 3/4 cup of sugar mixed with butter; I used what was left of the cinnamon sugar mixture instead. Still plenty sweet. 2/3/13- made again as written. Yummmmmmmm.

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2007
This is the most flavorful chicken ever! I use more lemon juice (1/4 cup) it creates such a fantastic flavor. This is a request always in our house. The kids and my husband LOVE it. Since I have been making this recipe for a long time,I also cut the chicken breast into 3 pieces for quicker cooking.

These were such a dissapointment. I stayed true to the recipe and the cookies were not what I was looking for.

Microwaved Potatoes Lyonnaise

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2007
I thought this recipe was a 5 in ease and a 4 in taste. Really good if you are in a pinch for time. Next time I'll reduce the amount of butter used. (We don't use margarine) Really yummy. 3 out of 3 kids under 7 agree!

Crumb-Coated Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
My family thought that this chicken was nothing special. It was really easy to make. I didn't modify the recipe at all. Not a keeper as is- will add more spices next time.

These were awesome- really good flavor. Had to modify a bit- thought I had oats, I didn't. Used 1 cup of bread crumbs and cut milk back to 1/2 cup. Also, substituted ground turkey. Excellent meatballs!!

LOVED THIS RECIPE! Like other reviews I cooked the squash with some cinnamon. Had to use 1/4 cup of cream cheese and 2 tablesppons half and half instead of the sourc ream and it turned out awesome. I will definately make again with the sour cream.

Barbecue Beef Cups

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2007
These were good. What a great idea! Had to modify a bit- used ketchup and steak sauce for the BBQ sauce, and it was still good. My son loved them and asked to have them for dinner the next night.

Savory Stuffed Chicken Breast with Plum Glaze

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2007
This was very easy and pretty good. I used blackberry jam since I couldn't find plum. I will definately spice up the breasts prior to sauteing.

Meat Lover's Burger

Oh! I wanted to love this recipe- it sounded so good. I didn't make any changes and the family, including me thought it was terrible. It was a PB&J night.

Beef Burgundy III

This was outstanding! Great recipe. I floured, salted and peppered my cubes before browning as others suggested. Browned with a clove of fresh minced garlic as well. Also used 1 cup of Burgundy. Turned out DELICIOUS.

Vanilla Pumpkin Pie

This was a very easy and really good recipe. Nice difference from the spicy pies. Used 1 can of Sweetened Condensed Milk in place of the evaporated milk and sugar. Turned out great.

Pumpkin Gobs

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
These were really great! Moist and SUPER filling. I doubled the recipe and had way too many "gobs". I used ready made cream cheese frosting and double chocolate frosting (the kids liked that better). Really good. will make again with home made frosting next time.

This is the 2nd time I have made this chicken and it always pleases. It is SO easy and SO tasty. Oh- and I never rest the chicken with the rub. I pop it right in the oven- and it is awesome.

Mostaccioli Mosta

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
So yummy! Had to make a couple changes due to what I had in the pantry. No tomato sauce so I used 15 oz of petite diced tomatoes with a clove of fresh minced garlic instead of the garlic powder. I tossed the butter in the colander with the pasta and put the pasta right into the skillet with the meat sauce then topped with the mozzarella. Came out great!! I used the called for amount of salt and thought it needed more after cooking- you have to use tomatoe sauce; not a spaghetti sauce. If you use a spaghetti sauce forget the salt. Good yummy recipe.

Brie and Walnut Tartlets

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
Ah, can you say savory and yummy? Perfect with a glass of wine. I made these as a trial for one of the dishes I will be bringing for Thanksgiving dinner to a friends-I will definately be bringing these. I used an Herbed Brie. The smell as they are cooking is to die for! Great recipe. Make sure you use a good quality Dijon mustard. I made this again using a regular flavored Brie and they were not as good as the first batch- I will make again only using the Herbed. The guests at the dinner scarfed them down but I knew that my trial batch was better!
