Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2014
Doubled the recipe and used a pound of xtra lean and a pound on 80/20. Kept all ingredient ratio As stated for a double recipe except the pepper. I used one tsp as we had finely milled. I shaped the patties and froze them for about an hour before grilling. I grilled on low heat- no flare ups and perfectly cooked. My guys loved these.

Chicken Florentine Salad with Orzo Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2014
Made as written except I didn't add the pine nuts. The dressing is very good, although I was the only one who used it. The rest of the gang ate this without.

Chicken Zoodle Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2014
Made this for lunch today with grilled cheese Sammie's. This was super easy to put together and it tasted great. I love the addition of the thyme. My boys are not the biggest fans of zucchini so I added my zoodles to the simmering soup for a few to make them super soft. Love this one. To make my zoodles I used the julienne peeler from pampered chef.

I didn't read the reviews! Imagine my irritation when after making this the first helpful review states it isn't sticky!, Darn it neither was mine!!!!! Flavor was super good. Used Sririacha as the hot sauce.

Broccoli with Rigatoni

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2014
Made this tonight for dinner and I agree as written is bland. Had to doctor it up by adding 2 bouillon cubes, a tsp of red pepper flakes and salt and pepper. We added more cheese. With the changes I was asked to make it again.

Chicken Vindaloo

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2014
I haven't had Vindaloo before, so I don't have that frame of reference but I thought this was great. I had to make 2 changes - I used breast of chicken and I did not have Cardamom. Otherwise made as written. I think the issue with others' potatoes not softening is due to 2 things. 1- you have to cut them into small cubes and 2- the cook time says bring to a boil then simmer- well it took a while to bring to a boil and then simmered for 15 minutes sounds a bit short to me. I simmered for 10 more minutes. I served for dinner over rice and just by itself in a bowl for lunch the next day.

Chicken Shawarmas

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2014
Made this for RECIPE GROUP and we liked it. I thought the flavors went together really well. Made the easy garam masala recipe on AR for the spice. I did add a bit of garlic salt to the chicken mixture. The garlic mayo is awesome.

Apple Tartlets

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2014
This was very good. I always have apples on hand and I had to use up some puff pastry. I only needed 3 apples for both sheets and I used granny smiths. I also subbed cran-lemonade and raspberry jam- it was what I had on hand. I had to add 7 more minutes to the baking process and up the temp to 375.

Manda's Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
We liked this one. Made with turkey and regular chili beans (couldn't find the hot ones). I thought thus might be too dry but it wasn't. We served it with raw onion and tomato and shredded lettuce. Along with sour cream and salsa.

We didn't love this one and we didn't hate it. It was okay. Not spectacular. It was light and refreshing. I used a Nilla Wafer crust which was good.

WooHoo. These were yummy. Made exactly as written except I doubled the corn and omitted the beans. I froze these for a week and they still came out great.
