Broccoli Cheddar Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
This was really good. It doesn't look very appetizing but it tastes darn good. Added 1/4 C of Parmesan. You need to eat this fast- it's not so good cold.

Breaded Toasted Ravioli

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
These were not good. And I wonder if it was my fault. I bought the ravioli that is in the refrigerated section- the gourmet kind. Not the frozen kind. I made 2 kinds. Cheese and artichoke. The were so over cooked and dry. I was thinking I should have soaked them in water prior. Lots of work for no pay off. :(

Jet Swirl Pizza Appetizers

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
These went so fast I couldn't get a picture!! I baked for 30 minutes on a stone slab. I didn't flip. I let it set for 15 minutes before cutting. The inside wasn't "done" but it wasn't raw. I think it was perfect. I didn't have a nub to throw way. Every last bit was gone. I used both cheeses and only used turkey pepperoni for the meat. WE LOVED THIS ONE.

Cherry Breeze Martini

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
This was so much more cherry tasting than I thought it would be! It's in the fruity side so it's great for people like my sister who don't like harsh drinks. I just added another shot of vodka to mine. :)

Gary's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2013
Doubled the recipe. It the only items I doubled were the mushrooms, crab and garlic. I had the perfect amount of filling. I placed them in a metal pan and baked half way without the butter. I froze them for a week. Once I was ready to bake again I drizzled the butter only 1/4 C and garlic over them. Showstopper.

Easy Crab Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2013
This was tasty. I didn't use the full amount of sauce. Just enough to top the dip. I also subbed imitation crab for the real stuff. Dip came out very good.

Easy Sausage Strata

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
This was part of my Christmas Morning brunch and it was very well received. I thought it was a bit too salty. Maybe because my sausage was already salty and adding the tsp was too much. Guests seemed to like it. I made with turkey sausage and added a small red pepper. Kept everything as written. Baked for an hour covered and then I broiled the top to get nice and brown for about 4 minutes.

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2013
We liked this. Made as written except used fresh garlic and ginger. I should have added more cayenne. It lacked the heat I wanted. The sauce was delish. Went back for seconds of the sauce and just dipped my parantha in it. Yum.

Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
This was good. I think the directions are kind of backward though- I did what others did and marinated the chicken with the dressing, lemon juice and worcestshire sauce for a few hours. I rubbed the bottom of the pans with butter then, placed the chicken in a pan with the sauce and sprinkled generously with lemon pepper. I didn't add I onion powder or garlic salt because the lemon pepper had enough of those in it. Once it was done I transferred to a chaffing dish. It was still tender a few hours later. I changed the serving size to 24 for a party.

Beefy Manicotti

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2013
This was good- specifically for the non cheese eaters in the family. It was a lot of work for a week night meal- you do need some time to make it and some time for the many pots to be cleaned up afterwards. Used pinot grigio for the wine and I was worried that the sauce wasn't going to be flavorful and too runny- once it baked up it was very good.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

So good. I used 1/3 fat cream cheese and only 1/2 of it. Mixed the dressing and the soup mix together and cooked the chicken on low all day. It's very good.

Veggie and Sausage Skillet Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2013
We liked this. Had to use regular pizza dough because they didn't carry the artisan version. Regular pillsbury pizza dough worked fine. I also subbed chicken chorizo for the sausage and we added more sauce. Great week night dinner - just add a salad.

This was absolutely delicious. The only thing I will do next time is cook the sauce w/ the sundried tomatoes and then strain them out. They were not appealing.

Good Sammie. Used RUSSIAN SALAD DRESSING from this site which is a winner. Made the sandwich on a griddle. Not into the microwave much for sandwiches.
