This would be great if you are looking for a spiced wine. Unfortunatley I should have realized that as I was adding the spices. As a Sangria I did not like this and would rate it a 1. As a mulled wine, I'd rate it a 5. Hence the mid road review. Made as written except I used only one apple. Four would be too much and the dried cranberrries did not do anything in regard to flavor or garnish since they sank to the bottom. (The reviewer who said Christmas in a glass had it right.)

Tomato Basil Couscous Salad

YUM!! Used all ingredients as written and then added 1/4 C of parmesan and 1/4 C sliced black olives for color. VERY GOOD!

Donut Muffins

I was expecting a lighter texture. They tasted just like the boxed cinnamon donuts you get in the grocery store- in my house those are the last to go. I did like the nutmeg flavor but I was dissapointed with these-with all the awesome reviews I thought they'd be different. They just weren't for us. :(

Uncle Buc's Coffee Meat Rub

This was SO strange. The flavor was great but it smelled like the candied nuts they sell at Disneyland while it was grilling. It also had a chocolate-y flavor. I think I put way too much rub on each steak. I normally overdo rubs and they come out great- this one had lots of spice- save the extra for another day. I only used 1 tsp black pepper (fine ground) and thought it was plenty.

Cauliflower with Dijon Sauce

I thought this was SO great. My kiddos did not touch it (hence the 3). I think the problem was that I had a VERY good quality- aka- strong Dijon- that overpowered the dish. I will make it again with less mayo and less dijon. Again brilliant combo- would just suggest you taste test your mixture before puttting it all on -if it tastes too strong be stingy. It doesn't mellow.

Lepinja (Serbian Flatbread)

If it was supposed to split like a pita-I did something wrong... mine did not split- at all. BUT that wasn't what I was looking for anyhow. :D It was flat yet had some fluffiness. Much like a foccacia or naan yet COMPLETELY different. This was pretty darn good. Split the white flour with whole wheat flour. perfect.

Strawberry Muffins

Perfect! SO GOOD!. Cut back 1/4C flour as another suggested. This was easy and VERY good. I made these up to go with Fuffy eggs and Grampa's corianderturkey sausage for BREAKFAST for DINNER night. :)

Brownie Frosting

Ok- this stuff is great! I completely ran out of chocolate chips and subbed a cup of chocolate syrup. While the end result was not frosting, it was an ultimate GLAZE that did not make the brownies soggy- even the next day. WOW CRUNCHM- your mom rocks! Will I make this again with the chips? OH YEAH!
