Smoked Salmon and Egg Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2007
Made this yesterday and it was excellent! Only change was that instead of all mayonnaise, I used half "Nayonnaise" (for less saturated fat). Nice taste and will make again.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
I doubled this recipe last evening. I had heated the oil and added crushed garlic and let the chicken breasts "sit" in this for a couple of hours. I used Ritz crackers and Panko crumbs with the Parmesan cheese. My guests went back for seconds as they'd never tasted such succulant and moist chicken. A keeper!

Skillet Ham, Cabbage and Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
This is something I've made for years. I use Polish kielbasa, potatoes, onions, cabbage, beef broth and always add a can of Cream of Mushroom soup. It's "soul food"

Jalapeno-Lime Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
Made this for my family yesterday. My eldest son, who has traveled to Mexico, said "Mom, whatever is in this marinade is REAL Mexican! It smells wonderful!" Whereas I thought there would be enough left over for a small meal, it was devoured. They couldn't get enough..."so tender, etc."

Easter Stuffed Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
Saw this recipe this morning and prepared it this evening. WOW! Fantastic!!! I didn't have any canned shrimp so I used crabmeat and did add chopped green onions. Otherwise, followed this exactly and it's definitely a five star recipe. The sauce is wonderful. Also didn't have corn flakes so crushed some seasoned stuffing mix to top the casserole. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2010
How nice to see a recipe for "golabki" on this site. There are many variations of this Polish dish and this one comes very close to mine. My mother insisted we never put eggs in ours though as she felt the eggs would harden the meat. When I make them I usually use five pounds of good hamburger and two heads of cabbage. Always plenty to share with my grown children and I freeze many for future meals. And, I do bake them and my sauce has always been a huge bottle of ketchup! Thanks Judy for posting this one; it's worth the effort.

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
Found this recipe last week and cooked a 15 pound turkey...sort of a test run! The turkey was perfect; very, very tender with a wonderful flavor. And, this was a "market" turkey at sixty-nine cents per pound. The only part I missed was that there was a lot of liquid in the bottom of the pan and not the usual dark drippings which make a good gravy. Of course, this was from all the veggies and the wine. Good trade-off though since the turkey tasted wonderful.

Baked Potato Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
Thank you Gina, as this is a terrific recipe. The only thing I did differently was to use proscuitto instead of bacon. The next time I try it I may use frozen hash browns, just for the convenience. Baked potato pizza...what a great idea! Thanks. Carole

I haven't made this yet, but I will. This gives me an idea! It makes so much that it would be a nice item to send over to neighbors during the holidays. It sounds yummy, but then again, I love pumpkin. Thanks to Sasha's Catering!

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2012
For the first time in all of my seventy-four years I made these biscotti yesterday afternoon. Followed recipe EXACTLY and they are terrific!!! I followed others' suggestions to cut straight through and had no problem with crumbling. I'm sure I'll make another batch or two before the holidays. Thank you for this one!
