Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
Great taste and quick to make. Tried it in a crockpot, it came out great. I did not add enough fluid so it came out a little dry. Will try again and add more sauce to make it a little bit more gooey like a hot cheesey pizza. I can't wait!

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
Out of this world!!!!! I made this dish in the crockpot and added ingredients from receipe with a few modifications: used 3 lbs of ground turkey, 1 1/2 heads of chopped cabbage, 2 1/2 cups Uncle Ben's Brown Rice, 2 1/2 medium onions, 3 - 4 cans tomato sauce, Salt Sense Iodized salt, and 2lb beef broth. (After reading everyone's reviews) Then I added 2 - 3 tablespoons hot sauce, 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes, 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper, 2 teaspoons worchestire sauce, 6 medium sized freshly minced garlic, 1 teaspoon nutmeg, and 2 teaspoons of vinegar. On the side I served sour cream to help cool down the heat from some of the peppers I used in case it was a little too hot for anyone. Entire family scarfed meal within seconds. My mother came over for dinner and is now begging for receipe. This dish will definitely be added to regular dinner menu and made again and again!

Easy Lemon Cake Cookies with Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
AWESOME RECIPE!!! My first time I followed recipe and added a little bit more lemon extract to cookie batter and extra lemon extract to icing (I love lemon). Cookies came out great gone within a day. I tried a variation on the recipe after reading reviews, but the icing came out too thick. Strongly recommend original recipes directions for icing as it will thicken and you can keep layering icing on top of cookie to desired thickness.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Very, Very delicious! I did add some cinnamon as other readers suggested and some apple pie spice. Also I used Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust from this site with this recipe. It was a delicious combination. It was fabulously delicious and gone almost as soon as it came out of the oven. I definitely will make this again.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Very flaky and light crust, also easy to repair if you accidentaly tear it while putting into pie pan. I used this pie crust recipe with the Apple Pie by Grandma Ople found on this website. The combination of these two recipes is fantastic. Makes it look and taste like it came from a restaurant or store that makes them all the time. For those who are having trouble with enough crust, roll the crust mixture between two sheets of wax paper with a rolling pin. Then apply it to the pie pan. This will yield enough for two pie pan bottoms and two lattice tops. Depending on how thin you roll it you may have leftovers. This pie crust once baked is quite strong and will not leak any pie filling before it is ready to be eaten. So you don't have to make the crust on pie so thick on the bottom.
