Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2007
These were great! The best I have made. I used milk instead of water to grow the yeast. I also doubled the recipe the second time because there just wasn't enough for my big family the first. I let them rise on the warming oven for 45mins- an hour instead of in the fridge.

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
This was GREAT! I made it just like the recipe but was out of oregano and didn't add as much chili powder because I was cooking for lots of kids. We also squeezed some lime juice in our individual bowls. We all loved it! Thanks!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
Very good. I was looking for a yummy healthy alternative to the same old grilled chicken and I found it! I omitted the butter at the end to make it more Weight Watcher friendly, couldn't tell a difference at all. Next time I make it I'll wait a little longer to brown the chicken then remove it before cooking the mushrooms and sauce so it stays crispy and just pour the yummy sauce on right before serving. I loved the kick the garlic gave. I winner! :)

Spicy Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
Loved it!As others did, I added candied pecans. I used the "pecan snack" recipe on this site. It was so delicious and simple. It really wasn't very spicy though but I still was not disappointed.

Awesome Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
LOVE this recipe! I used ground pork instead of shrimp. They tasted just like they came from a restaurant. Huge hit around here!

Apple Betty

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
Very good! I think I may have overbaked it a bit because the apples were too soft but it was still great...just not perfect. We ate it a la mode with some carmel sauce on top. Yum!

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
This was a winner! I used ketchup like many others because it was open and in the fridge. Also, I didn't have any parsley so used fresh basil and I cut way down on the hot sauce because I was cooking for the kids too. Everyone loved it! I will reserve a little more marinade next time because we used it for a sauce on the pasta I served with it which was great.

Barbecued Round Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
We all liked this one very much! It was very easy to make and had a great flavor. I doubled the sauce and used tomato paste with some water because I didn't have any juice. I also added some sweet onion that I browned with the meat at first and simmered with the sauce- just because I had a half an onion that needed using. Very good easy dinner.

Chicken Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
This was very good! The whole family (all six kiddos) loved it! I was thinking of leaving out the tomato because it sounded weird to me but I was glad I included it. The only substitution I made was chicken broth for the water. Thanks for giving us another family favorite!
