Jewish Apple Cake II

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
one of the best resipes for cke i've tried. it was the first one that i've baked that turned out perfectly! the only thing that i would recommend is to make sure you have a gallon of vanilla ice cream handy as everyone has told me that is the only thing missing.

Brown Sugar Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
I rolled them into little balls and flattened them into thumbprint cookies. i also left half of them phain. they taste amazing, but they spread too much. i think that next time i will make these cookies with shortening instead of butter.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
this is great. i got my three- and six- year- old cousins to try it,and they really don't like sweets. they thought that i was great, and it works especially well for kosher, since there is nothing like gelatin or anything unnatural.

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
i made this pie, and it is delicious. but instead of tapioca, i used cornstarch, because that was the thickener that i have on hand, it is alot easier and makes less of a mess. also i tried powdered sugar and a prepared graham cracker crust. and on top i put oatmeal cookies, to avoid the traditional pie calories. it turned out delicious... so i guess i used this recipe as a guideline, but i used about a pound of strawberries and 3 stalks of rhubarb. so every stalk isn't the same. and i deviated from the recipe, to add a twist. try it you guys, make it your own. it really works. good recipe though.
