Blueberry Sour Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
This cake was very moist and delicious. I did follow the other reviewers recommendations and cut back on the sugar - I used 2 1/2 cups. I also substituted lemon extract for the butter flavor and added 1/2 tsp of cinnamon!!! Yum. This is a great summer dessert and a good way to use fresh blueberries! I will definitely make again!

PHILLY Bacon and Tomato Presto Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
I thought this was a quick and easy recipes. I had most of the ingredients on hand. I rated it 4 stars because I made a few adjustments with what I had in my kitchen. I use low sodium bacon, so this helped reduce the sodium. Then I used a can of evaporated milk and regular package of cream cheese. I didn't have any tomatoes, so I used about 1/4 of a jar of roasted peppers I had. This added a little heat. I just added basil, bay leaves, garlic and onion powder as seasoning. I let this cook down, and just added a little milk if it thicken too much! It was delicious. I will definitely cook again.

Spicy Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
Personally, I thought this recipe was too sweet. I loved the spice, however, the sweetness was over barring. I am willing to try again, but will definitely cut down on the sugar.

Pineapple Angel Food Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
This cake was soooo light and tasty. I did make a few changes though. First I greased and used a 9 x 13 pan. Then, I mixed in 2 tsp of vanilla extract with the cake mix and pineapples. 25 minutes in the oven was perfect for me. After the cake cooled, I mixed a package of instant sugar free vanilla pudding (just the powder) in with the cool whip before spreading it over the cake! It was very moist! Quick to make in a pinch and perfect for a hot summer day!

Cheesy Vegetable Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
This recipe was delicious. However, I did make a few changes. I added tomatoes to the veges, omitted the zucchini (because I didn't have any), and added lots of seasonings (parsley, oregano, etc.). When I boiled the milk with the flour, I added butter and sourcream (this gave it a creamier flavor). I used oven ready lasagna noodles, added bread crumbs to the top, and baked for 1 hour (to cook the noodles). Definitely will keep and use this recipe again.

Banana Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2007
I thought they turned out great. I added more vanilla and cinnamon, and I also mixed in 1 cup of white sugar. My husband thought they were a little thick, so next time I will add a little milk to make them thinner.
