5-Minute Guacamole

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2007
This recipe turned out pretty good. I added a little lime juice and salt though because I needed the extra kick. I would use this again.

Yum, I just used 1/2 cup of mayo and it turned out great. Did not add salt, just used powdered garlic.

Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
This was a great recipe! My 6 year old son said this is the best meal I have ever made! It was cute. But I doubled the sauce. Don't wait for it to thicken while it cooks, it'll be thin but when you pour it on the noodles it thickens. Will definetly make it again. I used dried parsley and it was fine also.

Simple Beef Flavored Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
Very good taste! We served it over hamburger patties and rice. The only thing I changed was that I used dehydrated onions about 4 tbsp instead on fresh cut onion which softened nicely.

Sukhothai Pad Thai

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
This was a very good recipe. The only thing was that I soaked the noodles as directed but didn't know for how long. I had prepped all the other ingredients but the noodles were still hard after an hour. So I put them in hot water and waited just until boiling and that made the noodles really soften up. I left out the radish, wasn't sure where to find it but kept everything else the same. My husband said it was great and that we would like it if I made it again (sometimes there are one's to not do again). Also, I did add about 2 cups of the bean sprouts when I added the noodles too. They were good in with the noodles and that way they cooked some also. Thanks for the recipe. I'll be using this again.

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2007
I made these cookies last night exactly like the recipe calls for. However, I boiled for one minute and I don't think it was long enough. I live in Hawaii and the humidity is pretty bad, the cookies never set. I had to put them in the fridgerator then the freezer to get them to harden. I probably won't make these again (at least not in Hawaii) because they just didn't turn out. They tasted really good though. I was going to give 4 stars but since environmental factors came into play, I'll still give 5.

This salad is awesome. I just used broccoli but it turned out great. I used pre-cooked crumbled bacon .

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2010
This recipe was very good. The bread was very moist. I didn't have 4 loaf pans so I used a cupcake pan for the rest of the dough (cooked for 30 minutes). They came out prefect. I did have to cook the loaves a little longer than an hour. I also added a little bit of chocolate chips and my whole family loved it!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
This was a great recipe! The only thing I changed was omitted the lemon juice because I didn't have it, still turned out great. I probably cut up more than 8 fresh peaches though, it doesn't hurt to have too much. Thank you!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
Pretty good stuff. My husband really liked it. I used two heads of fresh broccoli instead of frozen, chopped. I used 1-2 tsp fresh chopped garlic instead of garlic powder because I didn't have it. I added 1/2 cup cheddar cheese at the end, 4 dashes of tobasco, and chopped cooked chicken. My husband suggested chopped bacon, I think I'll try that next time. Thanks for the recipe.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
This recipe was simple and easy to make. The bread turned out a little sweet too (which I liked). I didn't have bread flour so I added 2 tablespoons of gluten flour to the all-purpose flour which helped it rise even more.

Heavenly Halibut

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
This recipe was very good. I used chopped white onion instead of green onion (didn't like it as much as green onion would have been). This would be great on chicken too. I'll definetly make this again.

Quick Gnocchi

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
This was a quick recipe. I used the round potato things (sorry not sure the name but got them from Costco) instead of flakes and they still turned out great. Just not real sure how to shape them. I had someone tell me to roll them off a fork or pressing a fork into them, but some of them just looked deformed. This recipe just says cutting them but I wanted to have a little design. Thanks, I'll make it again!

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2008
I'm not sure what I missed in this recipe. The chili sauce was really really hot, maybe I should have used milder one. What did other people use for the chili sauce. I couldn't really taste even the cranberry sauce. I used lime juice instead of lemon but couldn't taste the lemon either. I don't think I'll make these again.

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2007
I made a few changes like paste instead of sauce (because I didn't have any, but added more water because of the paste) and used regular chili powder. It turned out really good. The sauce was a bit dark but I would make it again for sure, just using sauce instead of paste though.
