About this Cook
I have been cooking since I was old enough to stand on a chair to reach the counter, I have been scrapbooking since about 6th grade, I love gardening and planting flowers, I love taking care of our 3 Shar Pei ( Sian, Bair and Runt) and most of all I love being about to go trucking all over the U.S. with my husband and our dogs in our Peterbilt(I even have a small kitchen in the sleeper)
My favorite things to cook
Oh wow.. umm I like to cook things that I was brough up on.. My mom had dinner on the table every night and if one of us weren't there at that table my dad would have a fit. Now, if I had to pick today I love using the grill ( streaks, ribs ect) can't forget the pasta, pulled pork, salads, scalloped potatoes, Chilli, Swiss steak, chicken, taco's ect... I love to cook anything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everyone gathered around for dinner no matter how busy you are. My dad always says two things 1. if you are not proud of it, dont serve it. 2. Presenation is the key!

Southwestern Egg Rolls
This recipe is very close to ones you get when dining out. I made these for my family and they have been raving about them ever since! I only added carrots, shredded, celery, garlic, green pepper, red onions all minced and sauted. I used flour tortillias and deep fried them and also used a sour cream dipping sauce. Very Very good and this recipe is a keeper!!!

Bread Pudding II
My grandfather who isn't doing too good requested bread pudding for the 4th of July like his mother used to make... I had no clue how to make it. I came upon this recipe and made it jumping in feet first. It was rather simple, but not knowing what the texture is suppose to be, i was unsure if it was right. My grandfather gave the approval tonight as he poured the milk over his second helping. Thanks for the recipe and bring a bit of his past back to him in these hard times.

Cream Cheese, Garlic, and Chive Stuffed Chicken
This is a recipe that I made about a year ago. It isn't an everday-er, but it had a great taste with the chives, cheese, bacon and chicken. it is a keeper. thanks
