About this Cook
My cooking experience started with helping my grandmother make apple pies after school. I was 5 then and my love for the kitchen hasn't slowed down.
My favorite things to cook
Any deserts with strawberries!! My homtown is the strawberry capitol of the world so I try to make dishes with whatever strawberries I can get a hold of!! Chocolate covered strawberries I would have to say would be my specialty :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My moms side of the family is Japanese. New Years is a big deal with our culture. Every New Years we gather at my grandmothers house and prepare all the traditional Japanese foods together including sushi and tempura.
My cooking triumphs
Planning and cooking an entire Japanese / sushi party for my friends 30th birthday. Everything I made was a hit!!
My cooking tragedies
Gosh, where do I begin!!! I think we all have our tragedies especially when you step out of your comfort zone and try to make something new!!

White Bean Chicken Chili
Good stuff! I used regular diced tomatoes and 2 cans of beans (white beans and garbanzos). I also added some chili powder. I forgot to buy the corn so I didn't use and it was still bomb diggity. My b/f says to put it in the dinner rotation :)

Roasted Brussels Sprouts
This is my favorite way to prepare brussels sprouts! Even my boyfriend ate them and he supposively doesn't like them. I only shook the pan 2x during cooking and i didn't get any burning. Thanks for the recipe, I use it quite often.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast
I loved the quick prep time as well as the leftovers. My boyfriend couldn't stop raving about "pot roast sandwiches" the next day. The gravy was a little funky to me, next time I'll probably skip the cream of mushroom and make my own creamy sauce. Definately tasted better the next day. Beware of the quantiny you are cooking! I made a 3 1/2 lb roast and after 3 days we were all pot roasted out.
