Ropa Vieja
This has been our family's favorite pot roast for years! I have tried it in the crock pot or in a dutch oven and I prefer the oven. I felt like it lost a lot of flavor in the crock pot. I also use Rotel sometimes with the picante or in place of. I substitute beef boullion/minced onion homemade mix for the lipton onion soup to avoid the MSG. I use light olive oil for the vegetable oil for healthier fats. During the winter this is a weekly item and makes great roast beef sandwiches the next day.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style
I didn't have time to prepare the night before. I halved the cayenne but the rest of the ingredients were exact. I used one 6 pound chicken. My husband said it is the best chicken he has had in his entire life. Has anyone tried this seasoning on a turkey? I think next time I will prepare it the night before and also put the spices under the skin as well.

Really great marinade. I was always hesitant to buy this cut of meat since I could never find a recipe to work but this does very well. I bought two, doubled the marinade and froze one in a ziploc with the marinade. I only marinated for 2 hours so I'm looking forward to trying the other!
