Corny Corn Bread

Easy No Bake Cookies

I made these last night for my son to take with him to school. Cannt believe how easy this was! I used chcolate pudding mix, but bet it would be very good with others! Can't wait to try it!! I added 4 cups of oatmeal instead of 3 1/2, just needed a little more!

Rhubarb Pudding Cake

This was wonderful!! I had frozen rhubarb in my freezer from this past summer. I had 4 cups of rhubarb and it didn't even come close to covering the bottom of the pan. I added 1 cup of well drained crushed pineapple. I did everything the same as the recipe called for. It came out wonderful and was a big hit. I will make this again this summer for family gatherings.

Brazilian Black Bean Stew

This is for sure a grown ups dish....my kids didn't care for it at all, it was too spicy for them. As far as my husband and I say it was awesome!! I took some of this into the UpScale Restarant that I work at and the Senior Chef LOVED IT!!!

Chocolate Pretzel Rings

Love this one! Our 6 year old calls them "Reindeer Bellybuttons", we leave these for Santa every year!! So quick and easy to make. I have also used chocolate stars for these, they don't melt quite as nice as Kisses, but will do in a pinch!

Baked French Toast

I love these kinds of make ahead recipes. This baked french toast recipe is one of the best I've made. There are only 4 of us and I cut it in half for us. Works perfect everytime. Many times, I add raisins and diced apples when cooking the syrup, that's a big hit at my house!

Butternut and Acorn Squash Soup

Just made this for my husband and I, we knew the kids wouldn't eat it, so we did a half of a batch with 2 small squash. It was wonderful! This is on my list to take to Thanksgiving, I think it'll be a HUGE hit!! Can't wait to take it!!!!

Cinnamon Sweet Potato Slices

This was so easy! We are big sweet potatoe fans. I made the slices really thin and they got crunch around the edges. Our 5 year old said "Mommy, these are the best potato chips that didn't come out of a bag! And you even made em!" Will make these again

Delicious Bread

Was looking for something different than just plain old rolls to make for our Thanksgiving of 25 people. Did a small batch of these for just my hunband and I and our 2 children. AWESOME! Very easy to put together! Will have to agree that I made a few changes in my spices, but it came out wonderful! Can't wait to serve this one to our guest!!!

Almond Cranberry Squash Bake

I changed this alittle bit when I made this recipe. I didn't have almonds, but used pecans in their place. VERY GOOD! We are a sugar free household and this recipe came out wonderful when using Splenda! Our 5 year old couldn't get enough of it!

Pumpkin Dip

My husband and I are hosting our first family Thanksgiving this year and made small batches of things that we wanted to have. I made 1/4 of this recipe and had to make the rest of the batch! We ate it with apple and pear slices! Not too sweet, just perfect!

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds with Sugar and Spice

Apple Raisin French Toast Strata

My husband and I were helping friends of our re roof our house and I made this for breakfast---talk about a total hit! There wasn't so much as a crumb left!! I made the cinnamon cream syrup to go along with this---really really good and very easy to double the recipe to have enough to go around!

Banana-Zucchini Bread

This was soo good! I'll be making this again! The only thing that I did different was I used Planter Trail Mix with M & M's, dried cranberried, rasins and mixed nuts-I used 1 cup. It was really moist and very good. I took it to a family reunion and there wasn't a slice left!

Jumbo Breakfast Cookies

These were awesome! I made them for us before we went camping. The only thing that I would change is the cereal. I made them a 2nd time using Grape Nuts Trail Mix Crunch and omitted the rasins..Lots better!
