Lentil and Sausage Soup

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
I also cut up the carrots into small pieces. I used a home made chicken broth (recipe from this site) only 6 cups of water bc my pot could not hold 8 but I think the soup is better with just 6. And I didnt add the pasta, felt no need for it. Really tasty soup, filled me up.

Chicken Broth in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
Very easy to make. I used fresh parsley instead of the dried basil. Used the broth for a soup recipe also from allrecipes. Its great to make my own broth and not used store bought.

My Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2011
This chili recipe was just ok. I added cumin and crushed red pepper to make it better. To me its just not chili without that cumin taste and red pepper for a spicy kick. And I only chopped one large onion. But a good basic recipe.

Meatloaf with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2011
This came out very moist, did not need any sauce. Def. use a small green pepper, I chopped up a large one because that is all I had and for me the meatloaf had too much green pepper. Will make again!

Fresh Herbed Halibut

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
Bought about a pound of halibut from Costco and needed a good simple recipe and this was def it!! I only used half the lemon, eye balled sea salt and garlic powder and used fresh dill. Sprayed foil and fish with olive oil spray. Very, very good!

Spicy Italian Pork Cutlets

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
I used a pork tenderloin cut into 1/2 inch thickness. 1/4 inch would have been too thin. Pork came out very, very moist. Wish the sauce was thicker, but the flavor was GREAT!! A little too spicy for me but my boyfriend loved it, and he is a picky eater. I followed ingredients and directions exactly except for pork thickness. Will def make again!!!!

The only change I made was using 1/2 cup of butter. Turned out really good, a bit too moist, not sure why, but the flavor is great!

Fruit Ball

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
I only made a 1/4 of this recipe bc I wanted to test it first before making a big batch. And to my surprise it is very good. Of course you can never go wrong with anything that has cream cheese. Didnt have almonds so I used pecan pieces. I will definetly be making this to bring to a party!

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
Very tasty cookies but I think the oven temp of 375 is too high. My cookies were burnt on the edges and still a little raw inside. I added less white choc chips then called for (1/2 cup). But will definitely make again in 350 degree oven.

Tuna Salad with Cranberries

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
I was getting sick of the same old tuna and celery salad and thought I would give this a try. Very good! I did add more cranberries. And also added celery bc it definitely (to me) needs a crunch. Though I would like to try it with almonds like other reviewers suggested. Def. will make again!

This was actually really good. I microwaved the potatoes for 10 min (5min then turned over and another 5min). Added salt and pepper to the tuna, pot, mayo, green onion mix.
