This spread really is delicious! Even if you do not care for jalapenos (as I don't), the dip is fabulous. I just had to review this one; mostly to let you know that BACON in this recipe is wonderful. I know the original submitter mentioned that you would think it would be good, but it's not -- so I just wanted to let all you bacon lovers out there know that it is VERY good! Be sure to cook the bacon until very crisp and either chop finely or throw in the food processor for a few pulses. I actually put both my bacon and fresh jalapenos in the food processor to avoid any large chunks, which my guests found unappealing the first time I made it. Give the bacon a try. I think you'll like it! Also, whoever mentioned making it ahead of time and resting in the fridge is brilliant - so much better the next day! And even cold!
