Vegetarian Chickpea Sandwich Filling

Wasn't sure what to expect....but this was really good. Very filling, cheap, tasty, and EASY. I also found it a pain to mash with fork and didn't feel like dirtying any dishes so I put on a disposable glove and squeezed them to the right consistency. Thanks..

Pizza Dough I

Very easy and delicious. My dough only took 2 1/2 cups flour and was perfect. I didn't do all of the extra steps that others did and it still came out delicious. Whipped it up in the Kitchenaid, pressed it into a round pan, topped it, and baked. So SIMPLE.

Amish White Bread

Deserves 10+ stars. This is probably the EASIEST bread recipe I've ever made. I usually buy Amish bread at the farmer's market for $3.50 a loaf. This recipe is exactly what I was looking for.......and I can make it completely organic for about a $1/loaf. Makes perfect sandwich bread as well as dinner rolls. I made thise EXACTLY as written. Needs no modifacations!!! YUM!!!!!!

Yummy Blueberry Cobbler

Will definitely be making this again. I was in a hurry and didn't measure a thing and it still turned out delicious. I think the only thing I did different, is tossed the blueberries with a little cornstarch after adding the lemon juice. VERY SIMPLE recipe that tastes great!!

Chicken Stew With Coconut Milk

I made this in my rice cooker and it turned out fabulous. No leftovers. I put everything but the chicken in the rice cooker and mixed it up......then added the chicken and hit start. It was done in less than 30 minutes (checked w/meat thermometer). I didn't have tomatoes or chicken broth.....so i just added a little less than a cup of water and it was perfect. It even made it's own gravy that was the perfect consistency. I will DEFINITELY make this again. Served with caribbean style coconut bread.

Best Bread Machine Bread

I made this recipe as directed except I only used the dough cycle in the bread machine and then put in regular loaf pan, let it rise for about 45 more minutes, and then baked at 375 for about 30 minutes. Very, very good. Will make dinner rolls next time with this recipe.----oh yeah, i forgot. I did use 2 1/2 cups AP flour and 1/2 cup whole wheat.

Basic Pasta

Would give 10 stars if I could. I followed the ingredients exactly using my food processor. Put dry ingredients in processor, turned it on, and added beaten egg and water slowly till ball formed. Rolled out dough thin, rolled up like a jelly roll, and cut thin strips. They are hanging to dry now but I boiled some of it for about 6 minutes and added mascarpone and colby cheese for a quick 'mac and cheese." I will try my very hardest not to buy the 'dry' pasta anymore. LOVED IT!!!!!!

Corn Dogs

Whoa!! I was CERTAIN that this would have been a disaster but boy was I wrong! Used exact ratios except made mini corn dogs....without skewers.....using lil smokies (without nitrates). Oh my....these were soooooooo good! (oh yeah) I tested one without first dredging hot dog in flour and though it did ok, I prefer dredging first. Made the batter stick more consistently.

Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Curdled? No.......it is the eggs that brings and binds this recipe together. I have been searching for a quick recipe that does not involve making a roux with flour and came across this one. It is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I added about 1/4 cup minced onion and about 1/4 tsp garlic powder. Loved it!!

Pecan Pie V

Made this pie with my 2 yr old and 9 yr old. I thought that it was delicious...especially considering it had no corn syrup. I was nervous because I poked around in it about 15 mins before it was suppose to be done and it was nowhere near set. I poked around some more and let some of the 'liquid center' run out and that seemed to help it set. As for the appearance. It's not that bad. It LOOKS homemade and tastes great. If yours comes out unattractive, just let it cool for a bit and top with REAL whipped cream and sprinkle with chopped pecans.

Oven Scrambled Eggs

I found this recipe about 20 minutes ago and decided to try it out because I'm cooking a church breakfast for 150 people. I am SOOOOOO glad I ran across this recipe. I didn't really follow the exact measurements but I basically just mixed up the ingredients as I normally would for scrambled eggs and then followed the oven technique. I never knew "oven scrambled eggs" could be so good.....

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

I absolutely hate to give low ratings on recipes........however these had an unpleasant texture and not much on flavor. I agree with some of the other reviewr about there being too much baking powder.....not because of the fluffiness but because of the taste it left in my mouth. I have made these 3 times....one being the exact way the recipe states............sorry.

Marshmallow Popcorn Balls

Green Bean and Mushroom Medley

If I were to choose a green veggie to go with my meal....it would definitely NOT BE green beans........HOWEVER, these were absolutely delicious and was so very pretty on the table. If my camera was charged I would've taken a picture for you! I forgot to add the garlic salt and it was just fine. The only thing I added was some cubed tofu that I browned in a little butter. Will DEFINITELY repeat this recipe.

Liver and Onions

I had a craving for liver and stopped by a local restaurant and was so disappointed that I was determined to fix my craving by making it myself. I am SO glad i found this recipe. It was PERFECT. I didn't have any milk so I soaked liver in a mild salt water solution for about 15 minutes. Also, it is important to use deveined liver to help with the tenderness. I carmelized the onions first with only about a half tsp sugar, salt, and pepper for about 10 minutes. Near the end of the liver cooking time, I added a little water to help deglaze the pan and tenderize the liver more. Again, I loved the simplicity of the recipe as well as the flavor. Thanks for sharing.
