Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
Yummmmmmm! This is my new go-to recipe for granola! I had a couple of slight changes (applesauce with a dash of oil instead of just oil and I had to bake this significantly longer to get a good crunch)....but it's delicious!! Thank goodness I won't have to buy granola again! :)

Creamy White Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
This was a good starter sauce. I used a Piesporter wine, which was entirely too sweet. You definitely need a drier wine for this sauce. Otherwise, I think it would have been really tasty! I'll try it again with a drier wine.

Outback Onion Soup

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
I just made this soup tonight for dinner. Flavor-wise, I would rate it 5 stars--it was quite yummy! Appearance-wise, I'd only give it 1 star. Many others have mentioned this--the onions nearly cook to nothing if you cook them as long as listed. I cooked mine half the time and I still couldn't stir the soup enough to blend in the cheese. It still tasted yummy--just didn't have the nice, consistent appearance I'd like to have.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
Wow! This is an incredible apple pie! I first made this for Thanksgiving last year and my grandma, who normally makes all the pies and has all my life, loved it and asked for the recipe! I made a couple of modifications to the recipe. Before I added the apples to the pie crust, I tossed them with a little cinnamon and sugar. For the top crust, I had some fall cookie cutters and cut oak and maple leaf shapes for my top crust. I then poured the syrup mixture over the top of all of that. Make sure you lay some foil in your oven--this pie will drip! So yummy!

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
This was an awesome pecan pie! I love that it doesn't contain Karo Syrup...makes it super easy to have the ingredients on hand to whip up a pie! I make my own pie crusts and it is all SO yummy!

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
YUM! This was the perfect dinner for a cold night! It does taste a lot like the restaurant's soup! I agree with the suggestions of using fewer potatoes. I used 4 (3 small and 1 bigger) and there was plenty of potato! It soaked up quite a bit of the broth, so the soup was pretty thick. Also, I used kale instead of spinach. Very good! My husband loved it! I'll definitely make it again!

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2007
My husband and I weren't huge fans of this recipe. It tasted like it was missing something...and had too much onion. I doubt it's something I will ever make again. Thanks anyway! :)

Seafood Fettuccine

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
YUM!! I didn't follow this recipe exactly. Instead of half and half, I added two cups of heavy cream. Also, I didn't need the cornstarch at all. This recipe was wonderful. My husband said it was the best seafood fettuccine he has ever had! :)

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
This is the BEST Caesar salad recipe I have ever tried! I have not been able to find a bottled Caesar dressing that I like, and now I'm very satisfied to make my own! I didn't add the anchovies and it tasted great! My hubby loved it too!

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
This was a really yummy recipe!! My husband loved it and it was a great for a change of pace. I would highly recommend eating everything hot together as it's not quite as good as it cools. We'll make it again! :)

Grilled Fish Steaks

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2007
I use this on tilapia instead of halibut (hard to get in my area) and it is FANTASTIC! My husband and I both love it! I made it for the first time this week with fresh garlic (instead of garlic powder, which is what is usually on hand) and it was amazing! Great recipe!
