Quick Peanut Blossoms

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2013
My grandaughter made these while I was preparing dinner. This was wonderful for her. She made desert for the family, on a busy night and was very proud of herself They were also quite tasty This is a first for us as I am an experienced cook, but I think people who gave a harsh review, have totally missed the purpose of this posting. Relax people, if complex is needed, surf the site. All Recipe has huge amounts of wonderful cookie recipe. All things said, thanks for posting this recipe. This is where my 4 star comes from

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
Made this for Easter dinner. Added a bit of dash and garlic to the potatoe mix. It was delicious. My whole family loved it and I must tell you that I have two excellent chefs in my family. I found it good as well, but presentation left some to be desired. The sauce was not creamy, but grainy. Maybe I was expecting something creamy like scalloped potatoes, but it did not happen. All in all, the taste was worth a five, but for presentation I rated it with a four star. Thank you for sharing. Will try it again but unfortunately it will no longer be low fat and that totally defeits the purpose of cooking for that one person on a special diet.

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
I have changed it a bit. Washed my vegetable well, left the skin on amd sliced it in the lenght, very thin. Used the same breading and fried it in olive oil for just a minute to brown. Sprayed a cookie sheet, added spagetti sauce on top followed by a mixture of italian cheeses and baked at350 for 10 min. Excellent with a ceasar salad The eggplant was crisp amd delicious The 4 star is for the change

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2013
It was ok, but I'm afraid a three star is all I can give it. My family also felt it was good, but just ok I expected more definite flavors and a little less dry. The inside of the chicken was moist, but the outside was dry. I added the cheese in the last 10min in order to prevent this. I think this is a good starting recipe, but something is missing.

Delicious. Will definitely make it again and use the base for other meats and possible chicken. Did add approx 1 tbsp crushed garlic and dash. Definite 5 star

Honeyed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2012
Love this meal. Super tasty. I added an extra tbsp honey, dash and garlic. Browned the chops first. Added only 1/4cup water. With four chops, had plenty of sauce, probably because I covered it for the first 40min. Baked for 40min, covered then turned chops and baked another 15min at 325 uncovered. They came out moist and delicious Omitted the ginger, not sure I would like it, but the next time, I will add it along with garlic and dash Thanks for sharing and will make it again. Served with rice

Cherry Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2012
This wasn't bad but a bit dry. The next time, I will add more cherries and less topping. Has possibilities.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2012
I made this for friends and it was very disappointing. They commented on how it was not my usual desert as my deserts are usually full proof. It turned out dry and very cake like. The sides were so hard, I had to cut them off. Ended up making chocolate sauce to finish eating them at home. Considering the ingrediences needed to make these, it was a waste Will not make them again.

This soup was absolutely wonderful and enjoyed by my whole family. The cayenne adds a wonderful little kick to it. Will definitely make it again.

Cherry Crunch

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2012
quite good. I added about 1/4 cup more oats, but it wasn't necessary as it was a bit much and olive oil margarine for less fat. Next time I will also add a bit more cherries as I like a bit more cherries. I used the oat mixture on top only and fruits at the bottom. Wonderful with ice cream. Wonderful desert. Thanks for sharing

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Wonderful cookies. Since I didn't have 2 cups chocolate chips, I put 1 cup white chips, 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 2 tbsp cocoa. They came out great. Will make them again

Can't Tell They're Low-fat Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2012
When you are a restricted diet and a brownie this good comes along, you are grateful. Although I made a few changes by necessity, I feel it is a definite 5star. Replaced egg with eggbeater, pureed prune with a banana and cut sugar to 3/4cup. Added a little cayenne for good measure. Although it remains thin, the texture is dense but moist. The secret to that is decreasing the cook time to 20 minutes or so. Thanks so much. Nice desert after a meal. Kamal

Peanut Banana Muffins

Reviewed: May 21, 2012
These muffins are great, but because of the changes I gave it a three star. Used egg white instead of whole egg, added 1tbsp cocoa powder, cinnamon and nutmeg and had no peanut chips. That would make the whole recipe different. I will make it again as written. The basic ingredients did however assure these muffins to be moist and rise quite nicely. I don't usually rate a recipe with so many changes, but wanted to make you aware that the basic ingredients and the amount required were perfect. All in all, these muffins were very good.

Grilled Portobellos Sauteed in Wine

Reviewed: May 18, 2012
Definite five star. I used a delicious red wine from the nights before, it was wonderful. If the wine is good, the mushroom will be as well. For presentation, remember that white wine will not change the color of the mushrooms as the red wil darkened them a bit. This was simple and all done on the BBQ. Will make it again Thanks for sharing

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2012
Fabulous. Better than mine. I added brown sugar instead of white, 1/4 cup water instead of 1/2 and a little nutmeg as well as the cinnamon. 1/2 cup of water would have been fine. It would have mixed well with the brown sugar and given more syrup. Next time I will follow the appropriate amt of water. Served with vanilla ice cream but was great without. On a scale of 1 to 10, my family gave this a 15. Wonderful, thanks for sharing.

Pork Roast With The World's Best Pork Loin Rub

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
Very nice. Bit like a porketta. Cut down a bit on the cayenne and had no cumin. Will incorporate some oil next time, cut down on the brown sugar by half and use it to baste my meat on the bbq. Thanks for sharing. I have added this one to my favorites and will use it again with chicken or chops.

Chocolate Frosting II

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
Very nice. Sweet with the just the right taste of chocolate. Did not add the coffee as I did not have any instant granules. Was a little soft, but maybe it was because I cut the recipe in half. Was perfect for 9x5 vegan cake. Thank you for sharing.

Vegan Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
Deliciousssssss. Did not give it less than 5 stars, even with the few little changes. Used canola instead of vegetable oil (healthier) and added a dash of cayenne. I think next time, I will add a banana or possibly another sweet fruit. Cooked for 35 min only. Was well cooked Thanks for the wonderful recipe expecially since I am so restricted as far as ingrediences are concerned.

Banana Oatmeal Cookies III

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2012
Delicious cookies. For health concerns, I had to substitute the shortening for becel olive oil margarine and the egg for "egg creation" liquid egg white, but it worked out perfectly. I did add chocolate chips and 1tsp cocoa for my chocolate craving but I'm sure they would have been delightful without it. The texture is soft and yes cake like, but I like them this way. A perfect little desert. My baking time was 10min but then again my oven is not new and tends to bake a little hotter. I gave it 4 stars because of the changes, but a definite 5 stars for taste. Thanks so much.
