Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

plain awesome. i always hunt and search for the velveeta recipe as its only printed on the inside of the small box of velveeta.....this by FAR AND AWAY is better than that recipe. TY mouse!!! i did NOT put more noodles in...even though every fibre of my body told me to lol...and im glad i did because much of it was absorbed while it baked and the rest settled nicely for leftovers! thanks so much! ****DONT PUT MORE NOODLES!!***

WOW. Ok i was definitely skeptical about this cooking method, .....but MAN! What a great way to cook a roast! It still stays nice and juicy and cooks ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!! We were amazed. This is incredible....I'll definitely use this method again and will also recommend to my friends and family!

Blueberry Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
REALLY GOOD...my husband absolutely LOVED it....it seemed a bit heavy to me (more like pound cake heaviness) and i realized after why....it says to mix until just blended...and i think i overmixed and thats why it was so heavy.. next time ill be more careful...bc there will be a next time!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
Good soup! i was worried about the amount of spices because my son doesnt like anything spicy at all....not chili...not salsa....nothing...no matter how mild....but he just ate 2 bowls of it! its very good....i used all chicken broth and no water and store bought chips. Omit the salt...it doesnt need it especially if you use the store bought chips...they are salty enough without adding more. I forgot corn...but i know we would have liked it with the corn....ill remember for next time :)

Scalloped Cheese Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
Excellent but we added about 1/2 cup extra cheese and 1/4 cup more milk with about a tbsp of flour and a 2 tbsp of butter mixed in about halfway through. Microwaved halfway through without a cover and then covered with saran the other half of the cooking time. And cooked about 8 mins longer.....will make again for sure

Lally's Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
This recipe has potential. It reminds me very much of my cola chicken recipe i use.....i found the amout of cider vinegar VERY overpowering i would reduce it to about 1/4 cup.....and probably decrease the brown sugar as well.....theres lots of sweet in the ketchup. Some other liquid would need to be added though.....it would be too thick otherwise. Maybe just some chicken broth. It has potential...but need some major tweaking. The acidity was too high.

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
wow......thats all i can say. i really didnt know that the longer you beat shortbread the more tender tey come out...so i tried it.....beating the butter alone for 5 mins then adding 1/2 cup of flour at a time and beating 2 mins in between additions finally adding the sugar and beating 10 mins more. they are by FAR the most tender, beautiful shortbread's I've ever made and ive made a LOT of them always wondering why i couldnt get that same consistency! Now I know! I tried piping them....umm, unless you're she-woman dont try...the dough is thick and it took all my strength to do one tray.....i rolled the rest lol this is DEFINITELY my new shortbread recipe.....thank you so much!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
very tasty variation to regular ol' pork chops n soup. i followed the advice of another reviewer and made 2x the sauce.......dont. when it came time to put the sauce on i only used about half of the ORIGINAL recipe and the chops were STILL swimming in it! tasty.....but you dont need to make 2x the sauce unless you are feeding an army. seriously. make em! nice winter change.....

Pecan Sandies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
pretty good.....i should have known they wouldnt be like a shortbread when i saw the eggs and oil and cream of tartar....duh but the picture made me think they would be more dense. As it turns out they are quite light....with a nice nutty flavour and the sugar coating is a nice and necessary addition, without it i think they might be a bit bland. I followed advice from other reviewers and added more sugar/salt and vanilla. My husband loves them......he's eaten at least 20 of them in the past day. Great for a cookie exchange.....it makes a LOT of them. I used my tablespoon measuring scoop to ball em out so they'd be about the same size. yummy. ill make em again

Bacon Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I didnt like this at ALL....but my family liked it better than I did. I would have given it a one star because I didnt like the smokey flavour the bacon gave the gravy....it seemed to overpower everything. I think I focused on that flavour though....so it wrecked it for me. I was disappointed. Family gave it 3 stars. I gave it one....averaged it out to a 2 star rating. not for us, but MANY others did so it just must not be our families taste is all.

Roasted Easter Ham

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
O.M.G. this recipe was wonderful! I used a smoked (uncooked) picnic ham. It was about a 6 lb ham and i cut and lifted the fat layer on top and stuck cloves in and lay the fat flap back down (sounds gross i know but i like to bake these hams with that fat on top) i stuck cloves in all over because i just cant imagine making a ham without cloves! Also I used honey instead of syrup...it was really REALLY good we ate it for days. Buying another ham today to have handy so I can make this again soon!

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Amazing. I've never made french onion soup before but we just LOVED this. I didnt put the sherry in, because i dont like the flavour of cooked alcohol and it was beautiful. Can't wait to use up the other half of our french bread on more soup!!!

Creamy Chicken on Linguine

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
Really really great......only change I made was I added about a tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken. However....reheating it makes it thicker anyway, so if you will have leftovers, maybe just thicken what you'll be using for that meal! Delish!

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
Very good! I also substituted f/f sour cream mixed with skim milk for the heavy cream to cut fat/calories. I mixed it until it was the right consistency, about 3/4 cup sour cream to 1/4 cup skim. It came out a wee bit too runny, but scalloped potatoes usually are more thickened the next day anyway. They were delicious! I will definitely make it again....the same way, the runny-ness didnt bother us because the flavour was so good!
