Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2007
These cookies were wonderful! They stayed soft for as long as we had them before we finished them off. I was worried about the pudding mix in them but they really taste great and you can't taste the pudding. Thanks for the great recipe.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2009
Very good and easy. I made this sauce this morning to go with a veggie tray tonight and I want to eat it all right now and leave none for tonight, it's that good. I did use 1/2 tsp. celery salt and 1/2 tsp salt and a dash of cayenne pepper. Can't say enough good things about this.

Blonde Brownies III

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2009
These were not what I expected. The flavor was good but the texture was very dry. I reduced the flour as suggested in other reviews and baked in a 9 x 13" pan and reduced the cook time. They were still very dry. More like a cake than a chewy blondie.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2009
So good, so good, so good! I made these today to go with mexican rice and grilled chicken and they were delicious. I could have eaten them on their own in a flour tortilla they were so flavorful. My husband couldn't get over how good the beans were. I used 3 tsp. salt per other reviews and 1 tsp. cumin just because that's what we like. Great recipe and cheaper and so much better than canned refried beans. Worth the effort too.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
This is a great chocolate chip cookie. I changed the sugar measurements just a little according to other reviews. I used 1/2 cup white sugar and 1 1/2 cups brown sugar because I love the way brown sugar tastes. The cookies stay soft and don't become rock hard like other chocolate chip cookies do in a day or two. I chilled my dough for about an hour so they wouldn't spread so much. Very good!

Chewy Coconut Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
These were really good but I can only give four stars because I made changes. I used all butter because that's what I had on hand. I used 1 cup coconut, 1 cup chocolate chips, 2 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. salt. I ended up cooking them about 10 minutes extra but my oven tends to be slow. These were good enough that next time I will leave out the chocolate chips.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
This was so easy and really good. I keep all of these spices/herbs on hand anyway so it was easy to do. I will continue to use this in the future. Thanks for the recipe!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
This was very good. I wasn't expecting it to be so tender but it was. I put mine in frozen and it was done in a little under 4 hours. I won't add as much brown sugar next time, I guess my BBQ sauce was sweet enough. Good and easy recipe!

Garlic and Herb Cream Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
This wasn't my favorite. The dried herb taste was overwhelming and gritty on my teeth. Sorry this wasn't the best.

Beer Bread II

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
This was ok. I definitely added garlic powder to the bread since other reviews noted it as being bland. It tastes like a big biscuit but with a weird texture. Sorry not my favorite.

Lemonade Icebox Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2009
This was really good and easy. Just what a summertime dessert should be. I used 1/3 less fat cream cheese and added in lemon zest just because I had it. I used a homemade graham cracker crust and all the filling fit in my deep dish pie pan.

Brown Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
This was really good. I used jasmine rice because I didn't have regular long grain rice and it turned out great. I didn't use the basil and it was fine. Mine was done in 1 hour. Thanks for this easy recipe.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
This was really good. I used sour cream in place of cream cheese and used one package of onion soup mix with water added. It was so easy. Warmed it up for lunch today and it was even better in my opinion the second day.

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
Made this last night. Didn't have the sausage so I used smoked sausage instead. It was okay but I felt it was missing something. My husband loved it though. I may tinker with it and make changes to it to see if I can make it taste how I want it to taste.

Caramel Apple Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2009
This was good. A little too sweet for me but that's just my personal preference. I think next time I will use 1/4 cup brown sugar. All in all an easy recipe that will please many. Thanks!

Hummus III

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
This was good and easy recipe. I don't care for raw garlic so I roasted it in a few tablespoons of olive oil that I poured into the blender with the rest of the ingredients. I had to add in quite a bit of reserved chickpea liquid from the can so my blender could process this. I added in cumin just because I love that in my hummus. Thanks for the recipe.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
This was okay. It is missing something and didn't have enough pizzazz for me. My husband said it was good. I may try it again and add something else to it to give it more flavor.

Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
This was very good. Smooth, creamy, velvetly rich. I used a homemade graham cracker crust (trying to save money) and only used one 8 oz. container of whipped topping. I didn't add the extra whipped topping on top just for personal preference. I topped each serving with chocolate syrup. Very good and easy. I keep mine in the freezer as well because I like the texture better frozen.

Aunt Blanche's Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
These tasted good but the texture of mine were soggy. Maybe due to the fact I used frozen blueberries. I cooked them until they tested clean and the bottoms turned out a little soggy. Anyway, the taste was good.

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
These rock! I made these tonight and they were very good and buttery. I made a few changes but nothing that changed the whole recipe. I increased baking powder and salt to 1 tsp per other reviews and added a few dashes of garlic powder and cayenne pepper. I used garlic powder on top rather than chopped garlic. These were really good.
